Brent Barry Is Officially A Spur Again
March 24, 2008 - 10:27 am
San Antonio Express-News -
Brent Barry signed a new contract with the Spurs on Sunday evening, according to the San Antonio Express-News.

He was traded by the Spurs to the Sonics on Feb. 20, and then was promptly released by Seattle.

"I'm very happy and excited to be back with the Spurs," Barry said. "There's definitely some peace of mind that there's some finality to this."

In order to re-join the Spurs, Barry had to wait out the 30-day period.

"My focus now is getting back in basketball shape and trying to contribute to what this team is trying to do," he added. [READ]

After the Mavericks game, I wonder if he got more money.

That was awful. Thank god for Manu Ginnobli and random injuries.

As a SUNS fan, I thank you Brent Barry.
Gordon G has been way more then Brent could have been.

Anyway thanks again to the spurs and ol Brent!

Pop won't just throw Brent out there, unfortunately. Fin Dog needs to be sat as Brent can provide what he does and so much more.
I hope we keep Brent for the next season or two because we won't be able to find anyone who is better suited to his role for us.

I'm guessing until their players learn to stay their immature butts on the bench.

That statement doesn't have any credibility because you're not going on anything in relation to Barry with the Suns.

Anyhow, in general, Giricek isn't the shooter (Barry a level up) or play-maker (Giricek not really at all) or established player that Barry is.

Generally, the career and recent-time comparision between the two goes to Barry.

There won't have to be any NBA front office disciplinary involvement or the possibility of it, with improved mental control from Phoenix. Both Horry and the Suns were at fault. Then, and in the future.

None of the Spurs bench got involved in that G4 schmozz.

The Suns really should learn from their past.
