its about time to wake up...

tough series, if the Spurs can hit their 3's they will win this series.

I think Shaq and Amare will have foul trouble in a huge part of series.

We didn't use pick&roll weapon against them in previous 2 games, but it's time right now. Parker is hot, Manu is back and Duncan will step forward in play-offs as always. Kurt Thomas will hurt them with his midrange shoots and Udoka is also can defend Nash beside Bowen.

I believe we will win these series. I'm very hopeful.

I think the Suns have a legitimate chance to beat us now, whereas the last three years I didn't think so (in the case of a series for 2006).

Of course, I'm just not sure, who will win the series because the new-look Suns aren't proven in the playoffs, and still aren't a consistent defensive team, despite improvement. We aren't that proven vs. the Suns from the last two games, but there's more to things there. Manu will be ready to go, Barry relativaly also. Horry will be back sometime in the series, will practice Friday, but questionable how effective he'll be.

However, we'll play noticably better in the playoffs, than from those two games and some other games lately.

I will admit the Suns have done better with Shaq than I thought originally, in the early stages of it. But on the long-term outlook, I still see it being a mixed bag trade for Phoenix.

To side, I'm leaning to the Spurs in 6 games. Can see seven.

Ultimately, I think it can go to either team.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Suns win the series, like I would have been in the past.

I could just be going too much on the regular season, and then we turn out to have a noticable edge on the Suns again.

Regardless, going to be one hell of a series, and one team will end up ultimately being the better team, this season.

Personally I think it comes down to Amare and his minutes. If he can average 35 or more then we'll take it, because it means he'll be putting up 30 and 12. If he's constantly in foul trouble - which let's face it will happen most of the time, then you guys will win. Obviously crafty veterans such as Manu, Oberto, Kurt and Parker know that Amare only needs to catch it and move slightly and contact is initiated, and all those aforementioned players draw charges/flop with the best of them...

I'm hopeful for this series. Not as confident as I've been against PHX in the past, but hopeful.

The Suns don't scare me. They are a much matured team from last year, but I think we have all the keys to win the game.

The only way they win this series is if we defeat ourselves.

If we play like we did vs Utah this should be a sweep. Although i'm guessing we'll probably drop one game. Spurs in 5.

Also we'll need alot of these for the suns fans:

I'm not trolling but to make a remark like this is rediculos, any team can say that. For instance we can say that we lost in last years playoffs becouse of we lost it. Unless an injury accours on either team, this year playoffs seruiose is going to be won by the better team. If the Suns win its becouse we are a better team, if the Spurs win is becouse they are a better team. Plain and simple, let's not build an excuse before the playoffs begins.

Personally, I looking forward to seeing them play, of course I want the Suns to win but in no way is this is going to be an easy seriouse. I wish I can say good luck to you'll, but I would be lying . What I will say , MAY THE BETTER TEAM WIN!! Hopefully my Suns!

What are you talking about? That's not an excuse, that's called confidence. An excuse would be 'Horry is hurt, so they have an advantage.' or 'Barry is not back in playing form.' I feel that we are the better team we will not lose this game. That statement is not one that can be made by 'any team'. That statement is reserved for the better team in a series. When we lost to Phoenix a few weeks ago, we beat ourselves. We took Duncan out of the game when Snaq and Sir Dunk-a-lot were taken out due to foul trouble. We did not play the majority of our starters the entire 4th Quarter, despite going into it down by only 6. That is how a team takes themselves out of a game.

I'm not knocking your team, I'm being critical of mine. Hell, I just posted to the Utah game thread that I wanted Phoenix because I felt they would be the tougher 1st round opponent.

Stop trolling.

I just took a peak at the Suns board for the first time since last years fiasco. It's amazing what their posters have to say.

For example, if Amare and Snaq get into foul trouble it's because the league loves the Spurs. HELLO, they are tied for 2nd in the league with an average 3.7 per game. That has what to do with the Spurs?

I hope some of the more mature Suns fans come to our boards for sensible discussions, this year. There were a few, last year.

Yeah it's funny how year after year people think the Spurs are done based on losses in the reg season. let them doubt us once more. All the ESPN analysts except one have picked the Suns. It's gonna be even sweeter when we win in 5.

Not trolling, but I really don't see the Spurs winning in 4 or 5. Saying so is just being a homer. I was suprised by the ESPN analysts all picking the suns. Spurs should be the favorite in the series, but whoever wins it'll be in 6 or 7.

Well i'm just having a bit of fun by saying in 5. It's always nice when you are right on a whim. I'm sure the series will be alot more tougher than i'm giving it credit for. I'm just throwing out numbers without any real seriousness. Although i've bet with Nashill on a Spurs win.

Gonna be the by far the best series of the first round for sure. Whoever wins, this will be long n hard fought matchup.

I don't think that Duncan will be able 2 dominate as hard as he did last year this time, he seems to struggle vs Shaq.
If u guys wanna take the series it'll have to be thanks to X-factors like KT (man I miss that mofo), Barry, or Horry coming up big. On the offensive end ur big 3 won't be enuf all alone, IMO.

Bowen does an efficient job defending Nash most the time, but this year we got Hill/Diaw/Shaq all doing a very good job at creating plays in the half-court as well, so lockin up Nashty isn't as much of a threat for us as it used to be.

Heres hoping for a fun, injury free, fair and square series
