Let's Trade for J.J. Redick

Word is that former number 11 pick J.J. Redick is on the block, I say we get him. He's a homeless man's Steve Kerr and I think he could develop into a great 12th man towel-waver and 'fan favorite'.

He and Matt Bonner would be fast friends I'm sure.

Speaking of Bonner, he had an amazing hook shot in garbage time last night, reminiscent of Jabbar, only better since, you know, he's Bonner. Although he clanked it off the front of the rim and it never had any chance of going in, the move itself was particularly awesome. I can't wait until he unleashes on Shaq.

Bonner will rough it up with Shaq like he did with KG in Toronto

As far as Reddick... I wouldn't mind him, and his defense may not be an issue.

Just because a player can't defend effectively, or are just ordinary defensively, doesn't mean I won't/don't like them. I think you're taking my general enjoyment and sway to defense into consideration too much.

Like I've referenced to before (specifically referring to the topic of drafting players), it depends on what team a player would be on if they'd be a fit or not. In this case with Reddick, depending on the team, certain short-comings can be made up for by other players and the system the team runs.

Compatability.

I think that would apply with the Spurs because of the make-up of the team, and aside from that, Reddick's defensive effort should be there. If it's not, then he's not a factor on this team. I think it would be there though. Also, from the handful of times I've seen Reddick play, he actually wasn't bad at times on defense.

Not only does that go for his defense, but his offense as well, because of feeding off Duncan, Parker, Manu, and team ball movement, around the perimeter.

Now, with the Kings, Reddick can't be relevant yet until there would be certain changes made to the team.

Reddick is the polar opposite of what this team will need going into the offseason. I'd only take him on board if it cost us virtually nothing.

Bowen will definitely straighten up the gayness within Reddick.

I think he could be a good player to pass the torch of experience. Get him involved in 2 or 3 years, and he will start giving dividends. Orlando sucks.

If he could be had for cheap i'm all for getting him. But I really don't think we NEED him.

I like Reddick too.. He kinda reminds me of Beno. But then i remember Beno and i don't think Reddick will be the kind of player that Pop would play behind Manu and Parker. Is he gonna be a backup PG? I think Pop likes a defensive minded backup PG than an offensive minded one. A backup SG? I think playing Parker and Reddick in the backcourt will hurt because of how small they are.
