Why the Spurs will win: The Spurs, while battling injuries and age, are easily the most battle-tested and most intelligent team in the league. While they haven't played like it for most of the year, they are beginning to click at just the right time. With an all-star trio of Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili, they are poised to go deep into June.

Why the Suns will win: They won't. However, when they do lose, this thread will be barraged with Suns fans comparing games with last season, making excuses for Amare's foul troubles (Ginobili flopped, etc...) and Nash's lackadasical defense (Parker takes too many steps, etc...).

Alright, I'm done till gametime. Enjoy!

Honestly I would be scared of winning the first game for obvious reasons....

I think if we want to win it will be simple... we have to out rebound them. It has been like that for years. We can overanalyse things and think of variables but I am sure that Pop will have this as a focal point of our game plan.

Keys to the game?

- When Shaq is on him, TD needs to hit a couple of jumpers, a couple of bank shots. Something to loosen Shaq up.

- When Amare is on TD, take him down low.

- Thomas needs to hit some jumpers to get Shaq away from the rim.

- TP and Manu need to drive to the hole hard and often.

- Rebounding will be huge. We need to control the boards.

Should be a fun game and series. Go Spurs!

My Keys to the Game:
- Come out aggressive, attack the basket and get Snaq and Amare in early foul trouble. With those two out our perimeter defenders can focus on the Suns shooters.

- Need a big game from Manu and Kurt Thomas off the bench. Kurt is our 2nd best post up defender. We need him to be physical with Snaq and take him out of his game. Make him force up shots that he's not comfortable with.

You kno that 1 dead quarter per game that we're prone to? Here it is... QAtr 2. Hopefully we can rebound in the 2nd half, we have a lot of ground to cover.

We need more from Ginobilli. The rest of our guys are giving us absolutely nothing.

Diaw is playing really well for Phx.

So far Diaw has. Remember the Spurs got lull to sleep on defense and then Diaw made the backdoor pass to a cutting Barbosa for the 2 plus 1. Got to keep stuff like that down a bit. Luckily the Spurs are only down 8 pts. TD is keeping them in the game, but the others have to add to the offense. Manu and TP are struggling to get into the offense groove.

In the second half, the Spurs have to be more than TD on offense. Everybody has to get involve. Keep the Suns from blasting off from the perimeter. Get Amare and Shaq into foul trouble. Good luck Spurs!

As long as the Spurs get some kind of offensive run going, I can live with it.
