Ian is a beast in the D league... lets hope he and Splitter can solidify our center position this coming year...

Via Draftexpress...

Up front, center Ian Mahinmi has been the best center in the league this season

Ian had a 21/15 game in a loss... with 5 blocks...

I think he will be a rotation player for us after all next year...

Impressive stuff there

I don't know if it's a certainity, but I'd say Mahinmi has put more attention and consideration into that with his play.

At least in the regular season, I think it would work (Splitter and Mahinmi in the rotation), with the veterans still playing enough, and then certain veterans taking over more or completely in the playoffs.

Be interesting to see how all that shapes out in the next year.

i hate how superstar in dleague translates to bench warmer in the nba (for the most part).

i hope ian will be more than that and that he will be better than just a rotation player. hopefully we can gain strong contributions from him.

Assignee of the Year

Ian Mahinmi, Austin Toros

When talking to NBA scouts about big men in the D-League with NBA futures, the first name mentioned by everyone was San Antonio Spurs rookie Ian Mahinmi, who spent nearly the entire season up the road in Austin. Physically, the rookie from France has every tool you look for in an NBA center prospect, including a well built frame, long wing-span, and explosive vertical leap. Combine this with Mahinmi
