Now See

Post#1 » by Adde91202 » Wed May 28, 2008 4:04 am

Now see why we need Gilbert Arenas? I said it earlier in the season, then got flamed on by Spurs fans, we go through periods without scoring, 0 points in 5 minutes today, that's not going to get it done.. Go get gilbert, who cares what it costs.

GINOBOLI needs to be traded if we are out...

it helps the rebuilding phase

I think we probably need another creative offensive player, in some form... but it won't be Gilbert.

sigh...

we have had this discussion before: you have a limited knowledge of the cba and how these things work, so i think most people here cut you a bit of slack. but this is getting bad now. we cant sign arenas to anything more than 5.5 mil a season, which he could sign with any of the other 29(?) teams in the league, but wouldnt because thats not even half of what he should be making.

the celtics didnt sign two HOFers, they acquired them in trades by trading serious assets (al jefferson+filler for kg, #5 pick+filler for allen). and lakers did the same thing with gasol (expirings+prospects+picks). it wasnt just because they had the idea and *poof* it happened.

good call ss1986v2. hate it when people throw out stupid ideas that have a zero percent of actually happening. coming up with stupid trades that are just borderline insane. true weird things happen in the nba but signing arenas to the spurs is just plain idiotic. the best things about it he sounds as if he's the smartest guy in the world and everybody missed it. goodness
