yeah straws sure feel great
3 pts gone just like that.
i am sure the refs wouldnt have done anything if Derek fisher karate kicks barry while Paul bear hugs barry to prevent his 3 pt shot.
Because they really screwed the lakers up in crunch before the fisher call, so lakers should have been able to do anything they want to prevent spurs winning the game on the last possession.

i am not happy that laker haters are all making this a conspiracy thing
Where on this board do you have people saying there is a conspiracy?
You are making something out of nothing.

You want a conspiracy?
Did you know the NBA rigged our Phx series last year, because Stern knows what a ratings goldmine we are in the Finals? They fixed it so that we cound win the game and go on to become the world champs! Need evidence? Donaghy fixed our games.

I thought this was an instance of the Offensive Player initiating the contact.
Sure Fisher goes up and not staright up
But Barry clearing launches himself INTO Fisher as Fisher is on the way down.
If Barry had tried for a REAL shot instead of trying to manufacture a foul, things might have gone differently.
And even Pop said it was NOT a foul, so I am not real worried about it...
PEACE!

ShowtimeFan, as far as I know, you want to try to get the foul when the defender foolishly leaves his feet. About the refs, we cant blame them that much. They dont have the benefit of the replay to see what we see. The key is not the last seconds of the game, we did not deserve the win.
Offensive Rebounds for the Lakers...I was literally yelling at my TV after Luke Walton got a rebound and a free layup to boot.
We had PLENTY of chances in this game...
Well played game by the Lakers, i look forward to game 5, I can not see the Spurs just bowing down and losing game 5.
Go Spurs!

1 - Go up like a man Barry and drain the GW shot. Don't pump fake with 1 second left.... come on.
2 - Clear travel prior to contact: Pumps, then changes pivot from right to left, then picks up right and takes small step, then contact, then dribble, then pull up. In realtime, no ref is going to call that at the end of a game though.
3 - Even if a foul was called, it would've been 1 n 1, not shooting since he dribbled after the contact. Maybe OT, maybe not.
4 - Again, go up and take the shot like champion. Ask teammate Horry what to do in that situation.... nail it for the win, no pump fake!
5 - Robert Horry 10 ft away calling for the pass back during the pump, travel, foul, shot with Odom sagging below the threepoint line. Give it to a true champion Barry if you don't have the cajones to go up.

daddyfivestar what are you talking about there is no such thing as a 1 and 1 in the nba.. as an impartial viewer who is neither a laker or spurs fan, it was a clear foul but there is nothing you can do about it now. If i was a spurs fan the thing i cant understand is how the NBA would let Crawford ref such a meaningful spurs game in the playoffs

I think JStock did a nice jump breaking it down like this:
Laker fans clearly aren't the only ones who saw the ball hit the rim.
Per ESPN:
Per San Antonio Express News:
1. That was definitely a foul. Brent should have gotten free throws.
2. He took another dribble after the foul, so he should have gotten two shots, not three.
3. Neither 1 or 2 matter because Fisher's shot on the previous possession touched the rim and the Lakers should have gotten a fresh shot clock.
Laker fans clearly aren't the only ones who saw the ball hit the rim.
Per ESPN:
You could make a strong case that the Spurs shouldn't even have been in the position to tie or win this Game 4 on their final possession. Television replays indicate that Fisher's shot with 6.9 seconds to go grazed the rim before bouncing out of bounds off Robert Horry's leg, meaning that the Lakers should have had a new shot clock instead of asking Kobe Bryant to hurry a fadeaway jumper after the ensuing timeout. A new shot clock would have forced the Spurs to foul Bryant (assuming no turnover) as opposed to getting the ball back off Bryant's miss to draw up a potential game-winning play.

1+1 = 2 FASCA
Addition an issue for you? If you read the post I said it was not a 'shooting' foul, which means NOT a 3 shot foul since Barry was clearly behind the line. I said maybe OT (if he makes both), maybe not (if he misses one). Read - Don't interpret.
The rule (#12 for you) specifically says "1" and the second being a "penalty" freethrow because a team has commited more than 4 fouls. We like to call that "Bonus" but you can interpret it anyway you like.
Here it is for you straight out of the rules:
Rule 12: Fouls and Penalties
Part B: Personal Fouls
Section: V
Common fouls charged as team fouls, in excess of four, will be penal-ized by one free throw attempt plus a penalty free throw attempt.

No kidding , BUT on that video of goaltending Parker did doulbe dribble .
You can clearly see it .
Sometimes I wished game would just end normally , you know without all the Garbage .
I mean it was one bad call after another , but everyone is sticking to the last call ..........
