Question for Spurs fans

Post#1 » by eagles nut » Wed May 28, 2008 10:28 pm

Why are the Spurs giving so many minutes to Robert Horry instead of Kurt Thomas? Horry looks afraid to shoot and when he does shoot it he's bricking it. At least Kurt Thomas can hit an open jumper. He'd also help you on the boards. Do they think he's not athletic enough to match up with Odom?

I don't know... Horry is sucking animal parts but KT gets no PT when we are being outrebounded. Sigh....

pop is a very very stubborn coach. you could probably tell just by looking at him. in a way, he is very much like jordan in the sense that he is loyal to a fault.

pop is big on letting the players that won/contributed to our previous championships defend "their" title. i honestly think its a very honorable and classy thing to do, but when were losing i think its stubborn and selfish. it goes both ways i guess.

That theory will be tested tonight. With the way that we were absolutely toasted on the boards in Game 4, Thomas is a must in Game 5 IMO. If Horry's still getting the majority of the minutes (especially in LA, where he tends to shrink even more than usual), Pop will have a lot to answer for.
