Whats the update on this guy? i know we almost signed him before splitting the MLE on elson and bulter. where does he play now and is there a chance of him coming over? is it even worth it?
after our front office passed on signing him, i know he put up poor numbers that season, is he improved now? from the youtube videos he is athletic and appears to have a strong build. could he help us out next year?

2.5m is worth it...paying someone to jump, blockshots, rebs...compared to oberto
AJ:"I'm Western Conference," he said. "I'm Popovich. I'm for him, for Texas and for the Spurs."

In short in 17 games last season he averaged 22 mins
Scored 12.5 points at 70 percent from 2 point shots
grab 6.6 boards and blocked 1.4 shots.
There was an increase in his production during the finals however. including a 27 point game and a 12 rebound game.
He looks pretty good when he's getting minutes. Plus he's athletic which gives him an edge over oberto, instead of the missed layup orberto makes Javtokas is likely to take it up strong for a dunk or get fouled. Where he shoots a very Spur like 54%.

Dear ss, i also know these sites. I live in Europe.
But i'm really curious about this guy's Russian league stats. I visited Dynamo Moscow's website (www.dynamobasket.com/en) and check the stats page. Javtokas has no stats there, here is the link:

There is no Javtokas here. Where is this guy's Russian league stats?

once again, i dont know a russian basketball league from a ham sandwich, but with the help of google, babelfish, and a bit of free time, i think i found box scores and stats:
http://www.dynamobasket.com/en/games.php?&cID=51
if you follow the links for each game, they give you a link to a detailed box score on www.basket.ru
and this link:
http://www.basket.ru/index.php?dn=team& ... 2&ml=1&f=0
i think gives info on the entire team. jav is #25. and given im about as fluent in russian as i am in hamster, this might be totally off, but his numbers may be:
36 gp, 10.8 ppg, 65.4% fg%, 53.1 ft%, 6.6 rpg
thats about all i can decipher. now, i think that may be his cumulative numbers from all the leagues/tournaments/whatevers, but there is a drop-down menu at the top to pick specific leagues/tournaments/whatevers. but i cant translate the drop-down, so i have no idea whats what.
again, no idea if this helps, but it doesnt hurt to post.

Thanks for the post

I think we need to get TD some help, no matter what. He had an amazing rebounding playoffs due to the fact that he was basically our only big. I think it a/effected(sp?) him on the other end of the court, and god knows we need his scoring when we can't buy a basket.

Thanks for the post SS. 10.6 pts, 6.6 rebs and 1 blocks is pretty good for Russian league. By the way he can adjust to our team very fast, becauase he is a %53.1 ft shooter
I don't know what our FO is thinking for him. We should spend at least 1/3 of our MLE to get him and i guess our FO will want to use MLE to get a swingman and back-up PG..

those numbers arent bad, similar to splitters. how those the russian leagues competition compare to splitters.
if we are interested in javtokas again, i think his size and athleticism is an undeniable upgrade. the only question is his b-ball iq and how much money he wants.

I think the Russian League would rank between #2 and #4 in Europe, with Spain been #1 and the Italian League and the Greek League been the other two...

i think the spurs might draft a big when its all said and done and look for a veteran swing player. if kurt doesnt resign javtokas could be an option as well.
