John Paxson just creamed his pants. Stop already. If the Spurs want to hand the Bulls a championship and give their team a zero chance to ever win another, sure. HAHA.
Just for sake of pure thought, imagine if that did indeed happen. the Bulls would have Duncan, Gordon, Hinrich, Nocioni, Sefolosha, Thomas, Deng, Gooden, Hughes. That team would easily win 70 games.

I still think the Bulls should take Rose...

I'd be surprised if they don't take Rose. You get a real base, and will probably be more of an impact guy.

I think Thomas and Noah can bloom with Rose at the point.

Oh yeah, Tyrus and Rose on the break would be truly awesome... they best give Tyrus consistent PT, though. None of this erratic stuff and over-favortism for the vets.

I didn't take too much time to find out just how high or low you guys are on your team. What I do know is that your team (whom I was rooting for) lost 4-1 to a team that is seemingly on their way up.
From an outsider, it seems that the Spurs will still be championship contenders for the next few years barring injuries, but the core may have peaked are are now on the downside. Granted, the Spurs have shown the ability to retool thus being able to spread out championship and playoff success over a long period of time.
Beasley for Duncan is just a pie in the sky idea for a retool type of move. I guess I'll try this thread again in about 2 years.

it's not only about the winning and rebuilding part of it..Duncan is the greatest Spurs player ever, and he has brought 4 titles..it's about loyalty..

If greatest = is most successful. I still think David Robinson was the best talent we've ever had.
Man, what I wouldn't give to see those two share the court in their primes. *le sigh* We've been blessed over the past 15 or so years.

I hope you are not a Bulls fan because this is a moronic trade from both teams perspectives. Unfortunately I know that you are a Bulls fan...

I wouldn't expect any Spurs fans to give up on the face of their franchise, even if their window for another championship is starting to close. When Krause almost traded Pippen for McGrady, I would've been pissed. But looking back, would it have ultimately been a good thing?
It's the type of trade that is pretty much never done, but when you look back 10 years later, you might be able to reason why it would've been a good idea.

I'm a Bulls fan and I'm not willing to give up the #1 pick for 2-3 more good years out of Duncan. He is already declining now. Very short-sighted move.
