Parker injured..Season done?

Hate to say it guys, i just don't have a good feeling about this season. The west leaves little room for error and with manu out till Dec and now Parker out for a few games, we may fall into a deep hole and not be able to get back out. Last thing we needed.

I don't think your season is over. I think a situation like this really allows for a player like George Hill to shine. He can really be something special.

we'll see how it goes, too early to talk about tanking imo. if we lose the next 10 or something then we can discuss it.

I dont think your season is over but its highly likely the Spurs will not get a home court advantage in the playoff. Maybe in the 1st round.

As a Lakers fan I never count you guys out until there is no pulse left in your season. Hopefully it's not to bad, I'm from the old school with sports I want every team to be as healthy as possible then let the chips fall where they may. Hopefully for you guys he's not out too long & you get Manu back & get going. I think a bigger problem is your salary cap issues & the team is aging

This is the time that you have to be patient.
I mean the record and feeling maybe sad, but let's say into 30 games, you guys have 10-20. Then when everyone is healthy, you guys go 35-17. You still have a shot at the 8th spot.
But honestly, you guys need a trade and get some young talent. Last night I watched you guys playing the Heats, Hill looks ok, but the rest of the team suck.

We are not done but we will be a low seed in the playoffs. We can still get a good 10 game winning streak when Parker and Manu come back.

as long as we aren't the 8th seed and play the Lakers in the 1st round, then I don't mind a low seed..

Well it's been officially announced that Parker is out for a month. Which translates to a month and a half for the Spurs, even then it'll take some time for his quickness to return. After watching this team play, and taking into account the Parker injury I see them falling into a massive hole. This team is sinking into the ground without it's foundation, as we have very few stand alone pieces.
Our main concern should be getting the big three healthy. No pre mature returns, I'd rather one horrible season then have one of our guys break down completely.
This is an opportunity to develop the supporting cast and hopefully it will force Pop to phase out the useless players.
Despite all that's going wrong this season, it doesnt look all that bad going into the future. We have found a reliable fourth scorer for the team in Roger Mason. George Hill has actually been a useful contributor as a draft pick. Even Anthony Tolliver has managed to knock Bonner out of the rotation, for the time being.

It will be a tough road to walk, but if the team and keep their wits and manage through the storm, they may turn out alright.

Our next ten games don't look too bad with the only tough teams we play being Houston twice, Detroit and Utah so if we can grind out some wins without Parker and Manu I think we can stay in the playoff picture. Then again missing the playoffs wouldn't exactly be bad for this team, we need some youth and a good lotto pick would really help this team in the long run.

Well the thing is that I see 4 losses right there, we just lost another game to the Bucks... It is hard to project some W with our lineup right now.

I'm projecting a 10-16 record by the end of the Raptors game next month, which should be around the time either Parker or Ginobili return, maybe both..
the West looks a lot weaker this year, so 45 wins will be enough IMO..but I'd like to avoid the 8th seed of course..
