Provided Hill continue his development into next year and becomes a consistant 20 point scoring/defending guard, what do you think of hanging Parker out to either:
Trade for an expiring to throw some money about during the 2010 free agency or
Trade him for a star wing/big player to continue the spurs dynasty.
This all hinges on Hill developing enough this season to be ready to take a big role next season.
But if he can perhaps Parker might score us a big name via trade or having cap space.

(Note Just a though provoking thread, i obviously don't wanna trade Parker just wanted to see what the general thought to such an idea is.)

First off : it won't happen.
Second : we won't be getting a star player (who do you consider a star player => for me a star player is LBJ, Garnett, CP, Dwight, ...) in return for Parker.

I think we could get someone like AK47 for him.

I no we probably won't someone of that calibre, (which is why i was against it myself) however i thought it was an interesting idea and worth bringing up here.
Maybe he could get us a player on the Gasol, JRich, Redd level, legit star players just not superstars at least thats what i think.

While Hill is a really quality player in his own right, he doesnt have the sheer speed of Tony Parker. I know this is only one aspect of the game, but Parker's speed is a tremendous and almost unstoppable weapon. While it is possible that Hill could develop a more well rounded game, it's pretty obvious that he will never have the ability to completely destroy defenses like Parker.
Unless Hill suddenly becomes an unstoppable force going into the paint, we have to keep parker.

you trade parker b4 he bolts to a big market.....

GHILL is for real if he continues to develop or pop giving him the green light to do what he likes on the court to built up his confidence.

the future looks good with GHILL/GIST/SPLITTER (HOPEFULLY) duncan/gino/ian/mason (insert FA signing 2010 bosh or aldridge) would be nice.....

ahh it seems Udrih14 finally has a replacement for Beno.
Man if we landed Bosh in 2010...if only...
