It was a real turnover fest for SA throughout. I'll still gladly accept any win the Spurs manage to eke out right now, especially now that they are on a massive road trip.
Besides the generally sloppy play, the Spurs fought hard and managed to overcome a fairly sizable deficit to bring this game to overtime. It could be said that the Spurs shouldn't have put themselves in such a big hole, but credit has to be given to the warriors. They played hard and present a variety of strange matchups all over the floor. The Spurs have been great this season at fighting through adversity and finding ways to get it done down the stretch. This will surely hold the team in good stead as they enter the stretch run.
Also a good sign from this game was that the Spurs managed to win a game while shooting poorly from 3 point range. Roger has been pretty ordinary shooting the ball recently, hopefully he'll breakout again soon.
Ginobili continues to play extremely well despite the absense of his long range shooting touch. He is getting to the line at an absurd rate right now, and the rest of the team appears to be following suit.
Kurt Thomas also deserves congratulations on his fine play. His shooting wasn't great but his rebounding was truely excellent. Perhaps even more pleasing was his agility and general movement. He seemed to be holding his own reasonably while matched up against Corey Maggette!!! If Kurt continues this type of play I think we'll really be able to put a scare into the Lakers.
