OT: Pacman vs Hatton

Post#1 » by Donald Kaufman » Sun May 3, 2009 9:35 am

I'm pushing my luck expecting much response from a boxing thread on the ghost town that is our board, but did anyone catch this fight by any chance?

Was over a lot quicker than expected, and now they're calling for Hatton to hang up his gloves. I've always thought he was a step below the Pacquiao's and Mayweather's of the boxing world anyway.

Thoughts for those that caught the fight?

You should have looked into the boxing thread on the other sports board...

Yeah good point, forgot about that board.

What do you think are the chances we see a Pacquiao - Mayweather match in Oct? Pacman's promoters are trying to make it happen.

Well Mayweather needs to get pass Marquez who despite going up in weight is no joke. Pacman wants to fight again at the end of the year but he needs to wait on the result of other fighters. I don't think we will see a Mayweather/Pacman fight this year. I can see Pacman facing Cotto who will is facing a very game Clottey in June. Both Pacman and Cotto are promoted by Arum, so it should be an easy fight to make if they so desire.
