If the spurs had a healthy Manu in the palyoffs, how far do you think we'll go?
If we end up short, what do you think will be the reason?
Personally, I feel that's how we should look at the offseason. A lot of us feel we need to improve the offense since Parker was a one man show in the playoff. The big question is, would we still lose in our search for a ring because of our offense if Manu was available?
My biggest concern is the defense. I thought it was a good move by Pop to start Bowen in the playoffs but it would've worked better if his partner was Manu instead of Finley/Mason. SF is a concern, but the biggest has got to be the Center/PF position.

I totally agree, I think we can get a young prospect at the wing position if Manu is healthy, but our pressing concern is PF/C. Our big get this off season needs to be that, thats why I am hoping we do something to make our big get in the draft one of those two positions. As I have stated before I am a huge Tyler Hansborough fan, I think he would do good things for us. I also like the idea of keeping drew gooden or bringing in Rasheed.
At the wing I wouldn't mind a cheap project, hell if we could trade little to nothing to get Adam Morrison I would do it. I think we have enough expiring contracts to add a wing player at that point.
If Manu is healthy and we do something in the ball park of those three things I think we have a great shot a championship. I don't believe in locks to win championships, but with Manu healthy and we add 2 starters and 1 backup bigman that can contribute we would be as close as you can get.

We need rebounding.... Manu hurts in so many ways. He is a damn good rebounder for a guard.

I'm sure we would of made it past the first round but I don't think we could of made it past Denver or LA. Losing Manu was a big reason we didn't do so great in the playoffs but there were other reasons as well. Like Rasho said rebounding was a big problem for us, along with depth at PF/c like bishopospurs said. We need Manu to be healthy and a solid young starting center, someone like Gortat or Pachullia if we want to become title contenders next year.

Hell no to Zaza...
I don't mind Gortat, but I think he's gonna get overpaid this summer for his run to the finals.
IMO, Gortat is a rebounder... and he's big. That's the 2 things he got going for him. he's only getting like 10 minutes a game behind Dwight. Who knows how well he can handle 30 minutes a game? His game is based on energy since he's only playing little minutes anyways. What happens when he becomes a starter and plays big minutes?
Gortat is going to get the MLE from someone. And that's what we'll have.
Personally, I'd rather we keep Drew Gooden than gamble on Gortat.
