Amir johnson for Oberto. That seems like nothing for Amir, good move Bucks, way to wheel and deal

Dude had a huge part in our 2007 title run. I'll always be thankful to him for that. :D

Yeah. I think it is 50/50 on whether the Pistons cut him or keep him. If he is release, he is coming back to play with Manu. At this stage of his career i doubt he wants to return to Europe and start searching for a new team.

I'm guessing the Pistons cut because they only really made that deal to cut salary and i'm guessing if Oberto does sign with another team it will be us.

I'd like to have Oberto and Bowen back, but Thomas is the guy we're really going to miss hopefully the Bucks cut him too.

If any of the three guys we cut come back I hope it doesn't take away from the minutes we will hopefully be giving to young/new guys. I wouldn't mind Oberto and Bowen, but there age is insane. Oberto-34, Thomas- 36, Bowen- 38. I hope Pop and Co will do better this off season filling out the roster.

I like Oberto as an insurance policy. But if Oberto wants anything more than the minimum, I say we pass on him.

I think he could return to San Antonio. But with Yao Ming out for the season, I could see Houston going after him. He would definatley get more PT in Houston. I'd much rather sign him than overpay for Gortat.

Scola should give him a call.

It looks like the Spurs might not even be interested in bringing him back now that he was cut, lol.

Considering we're now short of bigs, and Oberto did play a huge part in our title run, I don't mind having him back if we can't get anybody to take our MLE.

Oberto To Decide On Future Soon

http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... ture_soon/

Free agent forward Fabricio Oberto will decide on an NBA team by next week, according to his agent.

The Wizards are favored to sign him, but the Spurs are an option as well.

San Antonio traded Oberto to Milwaukee in the Richard Jefferson deal last month. He was then flipped for Amir Johnson in a trade with Detroit, who promptly waived him. The Wizards have offered Oberto their bi-annual exception, worth $1.99 million.

Good for Oberto. I think he will fit in nicely with the Wiz. I liked him but glad we decided on Raliff instead.

Wish him well, Washington is loaded with offensive firepower and Oberto will be in a good position to contribute.

Yeah I think he's a nice fit in Washington off the bench.

He should be a nice fit off the Wizards bench, they needed some depth and experince with all the injury concerns around Haywood and Thomas.
