I definitely agree with you. I am a big Sheed fan (also was a Pistons fan before the meltdown last season) and I will never forget the amount of respect that Sheed and Tim Duncan showed for each other while guarding each other in the 2005 Finals (the greatest Finals series I've seen IMO, contrary to those who say it was boring). I believe Sheed is the perfect complement to Duncan with his set of skills and unlimited shooting range, as well as his excellent defense. As for you guys, I'm really sad you stuck to Michael Curry all season long instead of firing him earlier and let him screw all up. I really thought AI could work on your team. And in the beginning it looked like he might, but then Curry started changing everything that worked until he found something that didn't work, and then he stuck with it.

What the Celtics have done in courting Sheed (sending the Front Office, players, mixtapes, virgin offerings, etc.) reeks of desperation. The Spurs are much more low-key, and will probably just have Pop and maybe Timmy talk to Sheed, let him know what the deal is, and respectfully ask that he choose what's best for him. If he's a wise man, he'll pick the Spurs.

DBMethos, totally agree, the Celtics have made a really pathetic attempt to offer him a 2 year deal to be a backup. Even if the Spurs offer him a 2 yr deal we are letting him start that is a better deal already. If the Spurs offer a 3 yr deal, than he is ours. We obviously have a deeper team than Celtics as well, giving Sheed a chance to pace himself. If anything we know how to handle veterans. Sheed would have to be pretty set on showering with Garnett not to be a spur next year.

young guns, lol. Spurs need to win now. I could care less about young guns. The Spurs wouldn´t have a still competitive team if they cared about young guns. Seriously. If the Spurs can sign Sheed and McDyess they will lucky.

Its possible if Dyce signs for the LLE or the vet min, but I doubt that will happen.
