LLE

Post#1 » by Marc » Fri Jul 10, 2009 4:08 am

It is still available or it was used for Haislip?

If it is still available maybe we could discuss in this thread about the best available options.

Don´t know if many will agree with me but i think the Spurs should go after Walter Herrmann.

He is a very talented player with great range and size and decent defensive skills.

I'm not sure what the details of Haislips deal are but assuming we still do have the LLE I like to see us go after a small forward for insurance purposes. Herrman would be ideal but i've heard that he's more than likely headed overseas unless he gets a big offer and I wouldn't consider the LLE a big offer.

If Spurs offer him the LLE i think he will accept it. He is probably looking at Europe as an option because he didn´t have much luck in previous off-seasons.

I honestly don't think we're gonna spend the LLE. I think our lineup is set. And with our team being over the tax, the team's not gonna spend more money unless it's for a key rotation player. We're now on dollar-for-dollar tax. I think the LLE is nearly 2 mil. 1-point-something. With the tax, that means Holt is paying 4 mil for this guy.

Right now, who can we bring in that actually worth 4 mil to our team? It's got to be someone that plays atleast 15-18 minutes. What position will we spend it on?

Bigs: Duncan, McDyess, Bonner, Blair will most likely round up the top 4 bigs.

Perimeter: Manu, Jefferson, Finley, Mason.

PG: Parker, Hill

The Spurs shouldn't spend it since it wouldn't help us much. I think our team is set for 2009-2010 season. Don't expect anymore Key additions to our team.

Well we still have it... Haslip sign for the Vet Min...

You know maybe Bowen resigns for the LLE after he gets cuts.

No way we spend the LLE. It would cost us nearly 4 mil with the lux tax. No one out there worth that kind of money. Even though I would love to see Trasho in a spurs uniform again. Our roster is set...at least until the trade deadline when Bonner, Mason, and Finely become trade bait.

I admit it looks unlikely for the Spurs to use the LLE. Didn't know they were so over the luxury cap. LOL.
