Parker out one week with ankle sprain `

Spurs point guard Tony Parker expects to miss a week of action after spraining his ankle on Friday night.

Parker insists that the sprain isn't as bad as some that he has suffered in his career.

This is going to be a big loss even if it is only for a week. Tony's been our best player so far even though he's been a little turnover prone. Hill will do a good filling in for him, but without another PG on the roster we're probably going to see Mason backing him up something i'm not so comfortable with.

I'm just glad this happened early on in the season. Parker could probably use the rest and the Spurs need a reason to band together and play hard.

Either that or everything completely unravels even more so, if that's even possible.

Let's see how that goes.. The Spurs opt to have only 2 PG on the roster and the first injury we have is at PG. This could be some sort of an audition for George Hill because I really believe Pop is grooming him to be our future PG in about 2-3 years. If he does well, that'll only enhance my belief.

I am really looking forward to the Mavs game on Wednesday. I believe we will beat Toronto without Tony but the Dallas game will be a real test. I already mentioned in a previous post (without knowing Tony will go down with an injury) that we need a 3rd PG, I don't like Roger Mason running the point. Anyway, we have a 3-game home stretch this week and should look to win all 3 and I hope Tony is back next Wednesday when we return the visit to Dallas, we're definitely gonna need his scoring there.

whoa whoa whoa... not so fast... the raps did lose to the Mavs... and weren't happy about it... they have a revamped roster compared to previous years and just starting to gel... but as a raps fan, I truly believe we will beat the Spurs especially because Parker is down... we have the following ball handlers on our team..

Jose Calderon
Jarrett Jack
Hedo Turkoglou
Marco Belinelli

This helps against whoever your bench point guard is...

I honestly believe that Hill is your future point guard and will eat up Jose's defence...but your bench better come out to play...(minus Ginobilli)

Well, rapluva, as I was saying, we can beet Toronto without Tony... It turned out we can beet Toronto without Tony and Timmy! Hope Timmy is back tomorrow for Dallas, I don't know about Tony but if he is hurt, he'd better not rush, I think George Hill won't back down against Kidd.
