An injured hamstring could cause Spurs guard Manu Ginobili to miss some time.

San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich held Ginobili out of the fourth quarter against Oklahoma City on Saturday night because of the strain.

He missed practice time on Thursday and Friday because of the hamstring.

This sucks..First Duncan and Parker missing time to ankle injuries and now this..This is not a good sign for the near future.. :(

So much for everyone coming into the season healthy lol, hopefully its nothing serious.

Last year this would have really got me worried but with Jefferson and Hill playing so well we can afford to be without Manu for a couple games.

I'm not worried about Ginobili missing a couple games..I'm worried about how freakin' early all this crap is happening in the season and at the same time..What are the odds that as soon as we get back 2 of our Big 3 the third sustains an injury?..Up until last year Ginobili has never been an injury prone player playing at least 74 games in 4 of the past 5 seasons and 65 games in the other 2..I'm afraid that this could be a continuation of what happened last season and if we want to do anything of note this season little things (minor injuries) have to be examined under a magnifying glass at all times because the worst thing that could happen is they become much more than that..

Well I'm just starting to think that all this limiting minutes stuff is getting pointless.

Even if we play Duncan, Parker, and Manu only 15 minutes a game the whole season to preserve them for the playoffs, there's still no guarantee that they'll be healthy. Guys like KG, Pierce, and Ray still plays 36-38 minutes a game and they're not fatigued by playoff time.

According to Manu the hamstring really isn't even a issue.

I think I'm ready," Ginobili said. "I've got to convince, as always, Mr. Popovich."

Ginobili has been playing through a stiff hamstring and has been limited in practice. San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich didn't think that the guard looked right in the second half against Oklahoma City.

"I didn't even have a shot to try to convince him," Ginobili said of Popovich's decision to bench him in the crucial minutes.

"He just sat me. I never said my hamstring was hurting. I never said I wanted to rest. He just thought it was the best option, and he went for it. He's the one who decides who's in and who's out."

Man what a horrible start to the season. Bunch of nagging injuries and poor play. 9 games into the season who would have guess the spurs being under 500.

Manu's going to be out one more game according to the wiretap.
