Game Thread: Celtics at Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Thu Dec 3, 2009 8:12 pm

When: 8:00 PM ET, December 3, 2009
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Should be a good one, we've both won 5 in a row and this game will be a good test for us. Boston's a tough team but we have the advantage of playing at home.

Go Spurs!

I predict more Celtics fans post in this thread than Spurs fans.

Boston's size is ridiculous and they're better offensively than they have been, seemingly

On a side note, following Shelden William's career since last year at Duke, he's one of the most over-looked pick-ups of the off-season.

I'm going to say the Celtics win in a close one

I second this prediction, but i'll do my best to make sure it doesn't happen. This board has been dead lately, well deader than it usually is.

Well our big three have played well so far but they're going to need some help if we're gonna win this game. We need to stop the Celtics from running the floor and getting easy transition buckets, we need to do a better job of keeping Rondo out of the paint and we need to do a better job on offense.

Ya me too. But we could of won it if we would of cut down on our turnovers and played some better transition defense. Also we shouldn't of stopped feeding Blair the ball late in the game, the kid was on fire and we just stopped giving him the ball. Pops needs to find more minutes for Blair he's been playing great in limited minutes and he's been doing it on both ends.

I am glad that we fought through and made it a game. We really played poor. Too many turnovers and small mental mistakes. Tony was off all night and we didnt get much from Dice, RJ, Bonner, or Mason.

Manu played ok and TD was a beast. Blair brought us back and showed some real good growth. I like pop staying with the kid late in the game. He did the same with Mason...showing some real confidence in his players. Blair worked out and Mason didn't but I just like the fact that Pop will go out on a limb for his players.

Personally I would have rather seen Manu in there but it is what it is.

Last thing, pop drew up a fantastic out of bounce play there at the end. If fin didnt step on the line it would have been a 2pt game. Damn pop is the best at those end of game plays.

I got to see the last half thru a stream at work... hush... don't tell anyone.

We lost the game from TO, missed FT, and where the **** was Manu?

The Celtics were better... we didn't excute when we needed to.
