The Jazz have totally owned us this year. We need to put together 48 solid mins.

is RJ coming off the bench because of injury or because hes not playing well as of late?

Yep RJ looks pretty good coming off the bench. Maybe we should leave him in that role and let Manu start?

Good first half, the bench and the youngsters have carried us so far.

well im pretty sure ginobli is a more explosive scorer coming off the bench and can take care of some ball handling duties + RJ they want at the SF because bogans is a little bit smaller to play the 3 come playoff time guarding guys like artest.

But Manu knows how to get his shots off with Parker and Duncan on the floor and RJ has struggled to do so. Manu is a more explosive scorer off the bench but I feel like we're wasting RJ's ablilities and I think bringing him off the bench would help us maximize them. Bring RJ off the bench let him be the go to guy with the bench unit and I think we'll get a lot more out of him.

the difference is ginobli has freedom with the ball

RJ really doesn't get many plays for him. Its Pop's fault for only using RJ as really a corner 3 pt shooter....he should be set up for more isolations on the wing or coming off screens for FT area jumpshots

Nope RJ doesn't get a lot of plays ran for him thats why I think he'd be better coming off the bench the offense would run through him. With the starters the offense runs through TP and he needs the ball to be effective just like RJ.

Wow, about 8 mins left in the 4th and it seems the Jazz have been shooting 90% while have gone 10% since 5mins left in the third.

This was a game of runs and Utah got the best of us.

Meh, most of RJ's career he has been much better in the running game than the half-court and he has always been unreliable creating his own offense. I would say Pop should recognize in some games when one of his 3 stars are struggling, the opportunity to give RJ a few more touches, though of course not abandoning those players or anything. But in general I don't think RJ is good enough to have a significantly bigger role imo. I still think his presence improves the offense though because defenses have to account for him in ways they wouldn't have to with say a Finley/Bowen combination. Also, if it weren't for the Spurs defense not being what it once was and Parker having injury concerns, I think this particular Spurs team could run the break a bit more actually.
