Spurs (28-19) @ Blazers (29-22), 2-4-2010, 10.30pm EST

Second game of a back-to-back. Could be an ugly one.

We've lost four in a row to these guys and five of the last six, our last loss to them was December 23rd - we lost 98-94 at home with Brandon Roy (amongst others) in street clothes.

Roy has missed 8 straight games (they've been 3-5 over that span) for the Blazers and is unlikely for this one. We're without TP again.

Duncan seems to be resting on back-to-backs so I'm not sure if he's playing this one.

We need this win. I was not impressed with last night at all. Its a nationally televised game and we need to show the league the Spurs are going to catch fire on this road trip. Sink or swim time. Blair and Hill have been amazing of late but can we please see some D.

Roy won't be playing tonight and so we need to step up and win this game. We can't have a repeat of last nights performance.

My worry is that it's the 2nd game of back to back. But the Blazers is without Oden and Roy. It would suck if we lose this game especially knowing how much we need wins right now.

I mean... we are going to lose badly.

Portland has our number and it isn't even funny anymore.

AS much as I want to get this win, I would be happy if we kept it close.

Utah has our number too. Heck just about every team does this year.

Our chance for a championship even when we lost vs Utah at home... I mean it is Utah...

The Jazz are one of the hardest teams in the league to figure out. They've got the talent, the experience, they're well coached, yet I doubt they can make it past the 2nd round of the playoffs. I don't know what is holding them back from true greatness.

Sure does feel like alot of teams have our number this yr. Well 1/4 of the way through the 4th quarter and I am impressed with the amount of energy. Manu looks really good out there. The second unit is playing solid.

I don't like pop playing small ball but once again he makes due with what he has. Wonder why Mason hasn't seen any playing time tonight.

If we keep this up it will end up with a solid win.

Boy that Fernandez kid looks good. Portland always steals our picks. Fernandez, Batum both were going to be spurs.

man why didnt pop take a time out late in the 4th quarter. The guys looked gased out there and aren't making stops. We just pissed away our lead.

Lack of solid interior defense. Boozer and Okur ain't getting that done.

Hey guys, good game tonight. Can't say sorry cuz I'm a Blazer fan, but the Spurs played pretty well overall. Portland didn't have an answer for Parker. I was really surprised to see him on the bench there at the end of the game. Was curious about Finley not playing, but I saw him in there at the end of the game. What's with Mason? Looked like he was dressed, but didn't make it into the game. Good luck the rest of the season guys.

I watched both games on TNT today - it really shows how much the Spurs defense has dropped off.
They got no stops down the stretch.
Combined with multiple turnovers in the last couple of minutes.
Blazers were the better team; I'm surprised it stayed so close tbh.

Hill doesn't play well off Parker - he stops being involved in the play and gets stuck in the corner; it's better for Bogans/Finley to be on the same unit as Parker and for Hill to come in with Manu.

It's funny how Spurs try to go small but then can't buy a rebound and don't have the length or athleticism to bother anyone. Hate to say it but Spurs aren't gonna win a championship scoring points...

Compared to the Cavs and there was a huge difference - they have a lot of long athletic 3/4s and defensively adjusted to Wade when they had to down the stretch. I have no idea why the Heat didn't do the same thing to Lebron and get it out of his hands. By the time they did the game was over.

We really blew this one. Our D is atrocious, it's an embarrassment to witness.

The Blazers are amazing. They're hobbled but they just play smart ball and they clearly enjoy playing as a unit. When they get healthy they're going to be a major force in the west.

wow. cannot believe what i saw last night. it was like deja vu. when the mavs played the blazers, we gave it up in the end too. those young legs made our team, as well as the spurs, look old. it seems like we are good for 3 1/2 quarters but we fade in the end. its sad to see.

Very disappointed in this team. We should have won that game last night. Didn't execute down the stretch.

Pop drew up an amazing out of bounce 3 point play just couldn't knock it down. Pop has to be the absolute best at putting his team in the right position to get a win. The guy is just an amazing coach when it comes to extending games.

Something has got to give with this team. We just simply do not have the D needed to compete at a high level. Our offense is amazing...best I have seen in years but no interior D.

I know its a long season and you can't get too high or too low but our team needs some changes.

On another note heading to the Magic vs Wizard game tonight...floor seats baby.

Hey did anyone else hear the Kings broadcasters talking about us being close to deal which would get us a backup PG and PF?

Yeah I think we'd benefit from 40 minute games like the olympics. We just don't have the legs - or lock down D - to sustain the full 48.

Did they go into specifics? I didn't hear it. Aren't the Kings guys the ones that come up with wacky nicknames for their players?
