What if?

What if the Spurs have another first round exit like last year what should the team do. I'm a Laker fan and would never want to see the Spurs in a rebuild mode. I want Parker, Ginobili, Jefferson, and Duncan to stay together. I think the Spurs just need a better supporthing cast, I feel that they can still win with a core of Duncan, Jefferson, Ginobili, and Parker.
as of now
SF:Jefferson/Bogans/Hairston
PF:Duncan/Blair/Bonner
C:McDyess/Mahinmi
SG:Ginobili/Mason
PG:Parker/Hill
what can stay
Parker
Hill
Ginobili
Jefferson
Duncan
Blair
what would you guys fill the rest of the roster with and why?

I hope we don't break the team up, but I do feel there's a decent chance it could happen.
Thing is, this summer will have plenty of pretty good players available for MLE. If we can get someone, that'd be a huge huge upgrade. But at the same time, if Lakers also gets someone good with the MLE like they did with Artest, then everyone is screwed.

The problem is Manu and Tony aren't consistently healthy
and missed quite a large portion of games, resulting in having role players forced to play 30+ minutes a night
Not hating
I mean they are good bench back ups but that doesn't mean they can replace the starters

While that my be true I think the Spurs need someone that can help Duncan man the paint

Management has said that as long TD and Pops are still around they're going to do everything they can to put together a contender. I think we'll do some re-tooling in the off-season and take another shot at winning it all.
Right now we need a center more than anything, so that should be and hopefully will be our first priority. TD's getting too old to be manning the middle on a full time basis, we need to move him back to PF full time so he doesn't need to bang on the block as much. I really hope we bring over Splitter, he's exactly what we need, a tough, big, athletic and defensive minded center.

We need to get back to having good size in the paint aside from Tim, and make an addition with a big wing-man role-player who's relatively athletic and who'll make a defensive impact (Ariza/D. Wright/A. Wright from this summer....).
I don't see us going into rebuild mode, we'll make moves and try again next year.

These problems are nothing new. We've needed a serviceable big to pair with TD since the Admiral called it a day.

Personally, I think this team needs a shotblocker in the worst way possible. Isn't our defense is supposed to be predicated on funneling guys into the shotblocker? We had success before with Rasho and Horry because they were decent shotblockers. But Blair and Bonner are not!

This won't happen, but the Spurs should try to trade Duncan while he still has some vaule, they could get two decent players for him, sepecially if they don't resign Ginolbi...

Duncan isn't going anywhere.
I say we move Parker for a decent big man. Hill is our PG of the future, and Parker has the highest trade value of all our players.
