Portland is currently going through their own struggles with an owner who supposedly doesn't want to contribute money to renovate the Moda Center.
Now obviously, the situation in Portland doesn't seem to really correlate with Seattle's chances of landing an expansion team here in the near future. But it will be interesting nonetheless to see how things unfold over the next few months in Portland.
It's something to monitor going forward.
