To be Blunt? Rah Fentons. Look at the rubbish he's spewing and this thread and now in the GB. I remember how classy he was in this thread too.

You have every right to be bitter about your situation, it flat-out sucks. If expressing your "right" to be bitter includes taking pot shots at another organization, so be it. That is what I define as an irrational approach.

Same with us. Except that is the only thing they need to do to reach their ultimate goal of the team staying where it belongs in New Orleans. Support the team. See games. All Shinn is asking for is for the team to be ranked 25th in attendance. Considering the product he's put together, that is by no means a stretch and should be a very achievable goal.

And vice-versa.

Awesome, picking the Okie guy that has had several run ins with most on this board, is on ignore with most guys here(he's on my list for sure) and assuming that we're all bitter because of what he's saying is really showing what you know about this board.

BTW: I, in no way, tried to tell you that you should lose your team with my last post. I just said(and i still stand by it), that i don't think that the New Orleans market is able to fill out the arena as much as it is required(15.000 on average for the 07/08 and 08/09 seasons) for this and next year, to keep the team. If you do, then congratulations and good luck with your Hornets, cause you then would've shown to be able to support them and deserve to keep the team.

I wasn't assuming all were bitter, was only referring to the blatantly bitter posts, which, fortunately for you, are invisible since you deservingly put that troll on your ignore list.

As for the bolded part, you're absolutely right. I personally have faith and believe that the fan support will return and the franchise will thrive for years to come in New Orleans.

If they don't, then what can you say? If they're still drawing miserable attendance numbers then nobody will have anything to complain about when they leave.

I just don't think it'll come to that.

The NOLA guy is just upset that I can't be banned on these boards.

That's the way opposing views get treated in New Orleans.

Not surprising, sorry you have to deal with him. We had our share of OKC yahoos billowing crap out of their mouths for a couple years. "Clay Bennett will buy-out Shinn blahblahblah."

Hornets Likely To Fly From Big Easy After Next Season

As far as misleading headlines go, this one was a doozy:

"Hornets Extend Lease Through 2014" proclaimed the press release, implying that New Orleans's professional basketball team would be staying put for the foreseeable future.

Read the fine print, though, and a different story emerges. As part of the agreement, the Hornets can opt out of their lease at New Orleans Arena if attendance doesn't average 14,735 in the 75 regular-season home games between December 1, 2007, and the end of the 2008
