Game Thread: Seattle Supersonics @ Memphis Grizzlies

Post#1 » by Det the Threat » Fri Jan 18, 2008 2:48 pm

After being blown out in New Orleans and still being winless in 2008, the Sonics will head to Memphis to try to get their first win of the year against one of the worst teams of the western conference.

Guard Delonte West won't be available for this one, and most likely for a longer period of time, after suffering a plantar fasciitis injury.

When and Where?

Friday, January 18th, 5:00 p. m. PT, FedEx Forum, Memphis, Tennessee

This game will be broadcasted by FSN NW

Questions:
Can we contain Gasol?
Will Ridnour be able to push the ball, like he did against the Lakers, or will we see the same guy that showed up in New Orleans?
Can Green hold his own against Gay?
Will Miller's shooting kill us and our zone?

Det, thanks for continuing with the great game threads through these dismal times.

For the love of all that is good, we need a win tonight. It's getting embarrassing.

Let me guess. Since the Sonics are having a bad season. Some of the posters aren't feeling the whole posting the game thread matchup deal.

On tonight's matchup. Although the Grizz are 2-0 on the Sonics. I can't say whether or not the Grizz might get a win here. They are 2-6 so far and on a 5 game losing skid. It may be the Sonics night or it may not be. Either way, good luck and may the worst team win.

I said win because I've only been able to watch a few games all year (due to living in S. America for the time being) and I haven't had time to absorb our suckness. Also I'm watching this one!

the grizzlies are playing ok as of late and have a pretty strong team on paper. I got a strange feeling they'll get up by double digits too.

The Grizzlies were on a 5 game losing skid before tonight's game ended. Considering their luck. It maybe next month when they catch their next win.
