Underwhelming.

He didn't have the most supportive owner behind him, but I think we are all estatic to have Presti now.

Could we now do a Swift, Sene for Al Horford trade?

I mean those two guys could turn out to be great, while Horford isn't a real center or project at all.

Honestly, i think Sund is an somewhat OK GM, but you should have other guys doing the draft, if you don't want to end up with project centers. He's also sucked quite a bit during his tenure in Dallas, where the Mavs were on of the worst teams with him as their GM.

Let's not forget to discuss his coaching hire decisions.

And he brought back E Watson... in order to get rid of the contract he gave to Reggie Evans.

This is a sign of all that's wrong with professional team sports. Teams repeatedly hire retreads with mediocre-to-bad track records based on their connections with the old boys' network, rather than make inspired choices.

On the plus side, he's not Billy Knight.

Isn't that the team that requires approval by the owners for the GM to take a leak? Or did I misunderstand?

My heart goes out to Atlanta fans. Their disfunctional ownership group just hired the most bland GM in all of sports.

Anybody remember Bob Ferguson with the Seahawks? That's Rick Sund in Atlanta.

^^^^ I think that's the best point so far... Sund will get pushed around, and Atlanta's ownership group seems pretty unstable. It's too bad as there is so much talent on that team. Perhaps his passivity will turn into patience, which may be what that team needs. Just resign those guys!

I wonder what his "five year plan" is for the Hawks?

Mike Woodson better be looking over his shoulder... Bob Weiss & Bob Hill are both still looking for work.
