Miami Trades- 2#Beasley,Blount,Banks
Sonics Trade--4#,Earl Watson,D.Marshall
You guys lose no talent in watson and marhall and add 2 rotation players(Blount,Beasley).
I think its a fair deal for both

What a mis-leading title. Blount & Banks are worthless players with horrible salary cap eating contracts...
Blount is owed $7.4M next season & $8.0M the following.
Banks gets $4.2M, $4.5M & $4.8M over the next three seasons.
Here's the bottom line. It appears, for a number of reasons, the Heat prefer OJ Mayo over M Beasley. It's their perception the market (eg the rest of the league, partularly/hopefully Minnesota, Seattle & Memphis) go along with that perception of Beasley >>> Mayo in order to pull the old Tom Sawyer trick... Riley gets the guy he really wants and swindles extra value in the process.
Bad deal for Seattle. We're going to get a great player at #4. Either OJ Mayo or J Bayless. And we don't have to pay Miami for the right.

Re: Sea-Miami(Beasley for Nothing)
Seattle takes on $28 million and and sends out $19M. Miami clears cap space for FA signings in 2009 and we are stuck with Blount and Banks, two guys that do not figure into the plan but we get Beasley. Since we are not going to win next year anyway, I see no need to take on salary just to add a backup center. We could resign Elson for less. When we settle the ownership issue we will need the cap room. It leaves use with a disaster at PG. You have to subsequently trade Wilcox for a PG or another lottery pick.
