Personally I think there is going to be a trade but calling the players and teams is like winning the WA State lotto.
So basic to the point.
#4 Bayless (A Tony Parker with more range?)
#24 Serge Ibaka
#32 Kyle Weaver
The rest all Euros they stash.

Re: Time's running out to enter the 2008 Sonics Draft Contest
Honestly, at this stage with all the rumors and talk going on I don't have a clue as to exactly who they will end up with. Mayo, Westbrook, or Bayless all seem possible. And who knows if the big trade comes down and they get Beasley? Or trade down with Charlotte or New Jersey, both of which I'm in favor of if the right pieces come back the Sonics direction.
I do think that if they can move a couple players out such as Wilcox and Wilkens, it opens up spots that might be filled by the draft. I like JJ Hickson for low post scoring. I like Chris Douglas-Roberst for versatilty, toughness, and the ability to be NBA ready at both shooting guard and small forward. Perhaps they can gain another first rounder to get both.
I'm beginning to think that teams ahead of Seattle are going to gamble in this range on big men and any useful center will be gone by #24 so there's no point in the Sonics adding another project center to their list. I think Presti might save that move for an international player at #32 like Jawai, Ibaka, or Pekovic.
I don't think I'll change anything anymore. I probably won't get any right so I may as well stick with this.

I think that the trade LAC trade will go through; but I'm still guessing that we'll draft Bayless, just at #7 instead of #4. Sure, if Memphis or New York pick him, we'll probably pick Lopez, or possibly, Gordon. But, at this point, I'm guessing that Koufos will be long gone at #24. We'll probably pick a big man, but I'm guessing Hibbert and Robin Lopez will also be gone. So, my pick there will be Alexis Ajinca, though I also think it is very possible that we'll draft Serge Ibaka, Nicolas Batum or Bill Walker. Any of the them would be good. If Ibaka or Walker are still available at 32, we'll probably pick them, or possibly Jawai. But if not, and/or we pick a big with #24, then I think we'll pick Kyle Weaver. So, he'll be my pick for #32. My picks last time for #46, #50 and #56 were probably wrong. But I'd like to add Ante Tomic. For #46, I'll change mine to Nikola Pekovic. To #50, Tomic. And Plaisted, if he's still available, at #56, but possibly Roby (my earlier pick).

asdf1223. Got to give it to you for making the Russell Westbrook call at #4. Downtown talked about it, but you made the call. And then you had Ibaka as well, although at #32 instead of #24.
A very close second was Sonic Ben with Westbrook taken at #10 & Ibaka at #24. You'd have probably won if the Clippers trade had gone through.
Other notable efforts in no particular order...
- wiff, HeavyP & Big Mac called Ibaka at #24. And HeavyP & Big Mac also predicted Trent Plaisted. Which was kind of weird. HeavyP had him at the #47 pick & Big Mac had him at #43. Except our pick was #46. Who cares. We traded the guy for DJ White anyway.
- Credit to Argyle for calling the Sasha Kahn trade. For $50. Actually I wonder if that's all it would really take with Bennett.
- HipHopHead nailed the Hardin. Except points were deducted because he doesn't know how to spell his name right and it was at pick #50, not #46.
- Yours truly predicted DJ White & Sasha Kahn.
- Downtown gets the bonus award for most entries. And getting around to mentioning Russell Westbrook, Ibaka & DJ White.
