Same knee that he tore last year? I'm getting a worried feeling that Robert Swift's career will be over very soon if this kinda stuff continues...

Maybe we should sit him out the rest of this season as well to heal up some more? lol.

On the telecast they said it was nothing to do with his previous knee injury so it may be the other one. I wouldn't laugh about sitting him out for the rest of the year I really think they should and probably should have with his last failed return. As I've said in a previous post the training staff have a hell of a lot to answer for, his bulk has caused more halm than good and now the poor kid can barely move on the court. I really think Swift could have been a solid NBA Centre now I find it hard to see him even becoming a regular on a roster. It's really sad. :(

I only watched the first half (pretty late here in Queens), but I felt pretty good about last night. It's nice to see our draft picks on the floor.

--Petro is playing quite well right now. He had an up and under baseline move that showed off his athleticism. More than anything, though, he just looked active.

--Ridnour may have hit a few threes, but the offense is lost with him out there. He's just not the catalyst you want at the point. I guess we know this by now. Not that Watson is the answer, but I've always thought he would be a good change of pace off the bench (wrong contract, though).

--Green looks so tentative out there!

--Did you guys see Oden's Mohawk? Pretty awesome!

--I was fustrated with both Wilcox and Collison. This is really Wilcox's moment: who else do we have? How can he disappear like that?!?! And it's great that Collison finds a way to contribute, but he has no athleticism what so ever. That sequence where Outlaw swatted him despite his perfect position was just hard to watch--but then he dives for the loose ball! That's his game in a nut shell, I guess. I just don't know how long he can sustain that type of play, and his trade value will never be better than now.

--Jelly got on the court! I just want to see him play!

I feel the same way. I compare our training staff to someone like the Phoenix Suns and I wonder what the hell is going on over here. At this point, I'd much rather have the body of Robert Swift in 2005-2006 when he was averaging about 6 PPG 6 RPG and 1 BPG in 21 MPG. Sure he was a little bit weak, but at that stage he was probably already an average NBA center and one of the most athletic big men in the league. I remember the old days when he'd go flying down the court and throw down and alley oops over the defense. I don't know many 7'1'' centers that can do that...

But now it's like all of the things that made him stand out are no longer there. I wonder if he can ever get back his old athleticism and playing ability or if his damage due to injury is permanent.
