Expansion Draft

Post#1 » by DoItALL9 » Sat Feb 12, 2022 8:07 pm

If there was an expansion draft this off-season....

Would you want Russell Westbrook?

He was one of the last players drafted as a Seattle Supersonic. (The other was Serge Ibaka, I believe)

Guys who are unprotected in expansion generally aren't highly desirable.

Let's imagine most of the other guys available are Dorell Wright, Kemba Walker level players.

If you're leaning "no" and the nostalgia didn't grab you already remember this! He'd only have one year left on his contract and then you could let him go.

What if you knew bringing him in would guarantee you a play-in spot or playoffs if play-in means nothing to you?!

It's a first round and out appearance but it's a great way to kickoff the comeback.

Does that change your mind?

Note: It usually takes awhile for expansion franchises to make the playoffs.

Hey, I'm just trying to bring some life to the board. Let's get some responses going. The more imaginative or wacky the better I guess.

No.

He's not what he once was. That's pretty clear. He's not worth the headache.
