Seattle/Vancouver in March

so my mom is coming to seattle around end of march. she wants to see UW's cherry blossom. she's here for a week so i don't really know where to bring her around.. pike place? what else is cool in seattle? i'm also thinking about renting a car and driving up to vancouver. what's good in vancouver?

I would definitely say come up to Vancouver (but I am biased). Around here you can visit our water front and see Canada Place, the cruise ship terminal and the old part of town known as Gastown. Right near by is also Stanley Park and the aquarium. You could also drive up and see the new venues for Olympic ski jump and bobsled.
