Hes opting out of his deal next summer. Should we take a gamble? Is he worth the money? Kurts contract expires for cap space.
Sonics new lineup would be:
Gilbert/Luke
Gordon/Wally
Durant/Green
Wilcox/Green
Collison/Sene
Or DeAndre Jordan.
Thoughts?

Nah. He's probably going to consider himself as the number one option and take touches away from KD. Although..that's sort of what Wally's doing now.

Let someone else give him the max, and when he is on the bench because of ijnjury we will be smiling because of the dodged bullet.

The Sonics won't have more the the MLE available if they aren't able to get rid of the contracts of Ridnour, Watson or Wally Z.
Thomas contract expires, but you've got to add around $5 mil for our draft picks, which only leaves around $4 mil coming off the books and that's not enough to go after any qualitiy free agents(if it's not a sign and trade). There's also Swift and West being restricted free agents and those guys also count against the cap(i believe 3x of their current salary), as long as they aren't signed by some team.
I also don't see why any of those bigger names should join this franchise, given the troubles we're in right now.

Taking on G Arenas would make this year's suffering in vain.

Yeah, you're right... this year's suffering won't really mean much unless we have a least a few more year's worth of suffering to follow it.
I'm getting the urge to wander in the desert for 40 years.

You guys just need to get a new coach and draft a good player IMO. Your coach just doesn't fit your roster, and he's doing the same crap to Ridnour that Bob did. Ridnour is a great point guard but your guyses coaches hate him for some reason. This needs to be yall's lineup
Luke Ridnour/Earl Watson
Eric Gordon/Delonte West
Kevin Durant/ Wally Szerbiak
Jeff Green/Nick Collison
Saer Sene/Robert Swift
Sene may not be the smartest guy but he sure can block/alter shots.

Ridnour is not a great point guard he's average...maybe. And if there is a healthy swift around Sene should stay on the bench.
