After winning 3 in a row, the Sonics will host the Chicago Bulls in a re-match of the 1996 NBA Finals, to close out their 7 game home stand. The Sonics might be without Wally Szczerbiak and Jeff Green, who are day-to-day.

Tonight will be a special night, cause it's Nick Collison bubble head night and the first 10,000 at the Key will receive one of those.

When and Where?

Monday, February 4th, 7:00 p. m. PT, Key Arena, Seattle, Washington

This game will be broadcasted by FSN NW in HD

Questions:
Are we able to play as effectively on offense as we did against the Spurs and Cavs?
Will Durant settle for outside jumpers or finish aggressively around the rim?
Can we keep Wallace, Noah and Smith off the boards?

I want one of those bobble heads even though it doesn't look like collison. I think the Sonics will topple the unbeatabulls if Zerb or Green play.

i saw the promo for the bobbleheads at the end of last games broadcast, and i really think they look like ridnour...well, at least more like ridnour than collison. Maybe they should make a swift change to Ridnour bobble head night (i'll stay away from the robert swift jokes too)

i still really want one though

BTW: There'll be one golden bobblehead out of those 10,000 and the winner will get this.

One bobblehead of each player has been created in all-gold and will be distributed to a random fan as they enter KeyArena before the game, as part of a

Huh?
You just gotta say some if you want to make a game thread Sweez....

BTW: The Sonics are crappy rebounding wise today and it looks like the streak will end most likely because of that.

Ok so... I really want Swift to stay on the court and not get injured. Anyone want to place a bet on how long he's on the active squad?

If healthy the rest of the year. They are not trying to build this team if they throw him on the inactive list when he can go. I've noticed some small signs of actually throwing minutes into people who need them over the past few weeks, Petro the noticable one or is that just because of injury? (I've noticed Thomas has only played 16 mins)

Did anyone hear them mention Jamal Crawford wanting to come to Seattle?
Now don't yell at me just yet but what if he did?

Would you take on Jamal if it meant also getting their 1st round pick?

Would getting another lotto pick make you accept Jamal? Currently #5 I believe

I'm not saying New York would do it but would anyone here accept the deal?

Went to the game tonight. My impressions...

- K Thomas took an elbow to the eye. It was just before A Nocioni got the T. Not bad. Report is a slight scratch on the retina. He'll be fine.

- The Bulls killed us on effort tonight. Way more boards. Every loose ball was theirs.

- R Swift played! A surprise to all. Wasn't supposed to be until next week. He looked like he was going to die of exhaustion when he came out after 5 minutes of run. But he was smiling, obviously happy to be playing again. He's lost weight, but he's still too heavy. He used to beat other bigs down the floor. He beats no one down the floor now. Matched up on A Gray, who beat R Swift like a drum. R Swift also made a stupid decision to double leaving his man wide open for a layin. But he made his first shot. Folks were so happy for that. He made the second too... an f'ing bank shot from 12 feet straight out in front of the basket! We were howling with laughter. But he battled. A block and a board. It will get better. I think playing will help get some more of the weight off. He needs to lose another 10 lbs, but at least he looks WAY more mobile than he did in November.

- J Petro's got game. He's ready to contribute. And remember, he's only 22 years old.

- K Durant again played a more efficient all around game. He's playing defense, rebounding, blocking shots (stats are wrong - I saw him block two tonight) and took only two questionable shots tonight with a better percentage (7-15).

- Does anyone want to discuss the PG's and their +/- statistics? Is E Watson going to Denver for E Najera? I hope so. If not there, then somewhere else. Please.

- I take back all that stuff I was saying a few months ago about Demitrius Nichols. Had a chance to watch him work out well prior to the game. His jumper is inconsistent. Mainly it's the lack of a square up. He doesn't set himself properly so the results are wild.

- W Szczerbiak is a good basketball player.

- Wierd that K Hinrich didn't play at the end of the game. I know the Bulls are down on him, but he had a solid game. J Smith had the game of his year for sure. And A Gray looked good. I don't know why he doesn't play more.

- D West has lost a lot of confidence. It's not right. He's an intuitive shoot first PG that's thinking way too much. But only because he's a team player trying to fit in. He's got to stop thinking. D West should just be D West and call it good. There's a place for him on this ballclub long term.

- There were only about 6,000 fans in the stands tonight... about 1 in 3 seats were occupied. On bobble head night.

Man, great to see Swift back in action.

BTW: We need to trade for Noah.
Swift/Noah would be a sick front court and we could call them the ponytails.....:D
