Game Thread: Seattle Supersonics @ Phoenix Suns

Post#1 » by Det the Threat » Fri Feb 8, 2008 2:51 pm

After winning their first road game for nearly two months, the Sonics will head to the desert and play Steve Nash and his Phoenix Suns. The Suns made quite some news this week, when they traded Shawn Marion and Markus Banks for future Hall-of-Fame center Shaquille O'Neal, who won't play tonight.

When and Where?

Friday, February 8th, 6:00 p. m. PT, US Airways Center, Phoenix, Arizona

This game will be broadcasted by FSN NW

Questions:
Will we be able to slow them down some and make this a game?
Can Earl have another solid outing, playing against Nash?
Will our zone defense help us at all against their shooters?
Can we use our advantage on the boards to upset another pacific division team?

No, i think he's back in Miami and also had been out of action for a couple of games before.
So we should look and pound them hard on the boards, or we won't stand a chance at all.

BTW: Great to have you back wiff.

collison amare matchup will be key. Remember when Collison had a 20/20 game on him? Everybody thought he would get pooped on because of Amare's athleticism.

This should be a easy game for the sonics to win. No Marion, No Diesel... Nash cannot control the ball any longer.

I'm banking on Diaw to pick up quite a bit of the slack that Marion left behind - He's making his debut on my fantasy team tonight). 8)

Someone please quickly make a post after me... I think i'm a curse... there's now a series of threads where I make a post and then it gets locked right behind me. I'm sure it's just a coincidence but it's starting to give me a complex. :)
