Gelabale recalled???

Post#1 » by Big_Mac79 » Wed Feb 13, 2008 12:47 am

Why? We are so close to the break

Is he there to provide depth because someone is missing?
I can only hope one of our guards was traded.

If anyone knows something or is at the game and sees someone missing please let us know

maybe he might be traded and they might give him a little playing time so the other team can take a look at him

Or maybe they are going to wave/buy him out him so they can open up a roster spot for when they trade Kurt Thomas and Earl Watson to Orlando?

The reason you haven't heard anything about it is because the dream that somehow Thomas could be used to pawn off one of our long term contracts is just that - a dream.

I really hope that never happens. I hate Orlando's peices they have nobody good to offer. Garrity/Aroyo/Reddick are all scrubs. :banghead: :banghead: Presti isn't going to give them the player he traded for Rashard Lewis I bet we even end up re-signing him.

I bet you we don't. How much?

If he stays after the trade deadline he'll expire and go elsewhere.

If they include a pick that's fine with me.

9 days and ticking for the trade deadline.

I find it hard to believe Thomas will be here after the deadline. I'd love to keep him here and give him a new two year contract but no way that is going to happen.

I have no proof of any trade other than rumors and putting two and two together.

The Magic say they are looking for a big. Kurt expires this season, and the Magic should easily be able to re-sign him for less he is making now. That is if he likes playing in a place that has nice weather and no income tax.

Being a certified conspiracy theorist I also think M Gelabale was called up in advance of a trade. I think it'll be Pheonix. They need to sign another player per the terms of the NBA's negotiated CBA. They only have 12 guys now & they need 13. They want a guy that can contribute, but they don't want to pay him anything because at $70M they're already over the luxury tax limit. M Gelabale's skill set would fit well in Pheonix. And it's what they've said they're looking for. And at $0.8M his salary is among the lowest in the league. And he's got zero chance of making the Sonics. And we "owe" it to the Suns for the Kurt Thomas gift. My call...

Suns acquire M Gelabale from the Sonics with a fraction of their TPE.

I think some kind of move is going to happen because of Gelabale coming back up.
