What's the take among Sonics fans about Swift - still regarded as a prospect? ever likely to be healthy enough to play? Thanks for any info.

We'll see. He's supposed to be finally healthy and see some considerable minutes in the second half. From what we know of him, he's a big, active body who can block shots and rebound pretty effectively. Strong down low, pretty agile for a seven footer, and he flashed the beginnings of a jumpshot in the last game he played against Chicago before the break. We all pull for him on this board, for various reasons, and most of us think that, if he ever stays healthy, he'll be at least a solid rotation player.

I think he can be a solid NBA centre, before the injury he really looked like he was going to break out so the knee injury couldn't have came at a worse time really. He has missed so much time now because of it and we may have already seen his best which is very unfortunate.

If Seattle is willing to change this line up around him and trade players away to extend his minutes in the final stages of the season it shows how highly they think of him. I'm still a believer.

He's on the edge of bustdom right now.

I personally am about to give up on him. He's wasting our time IMO.

Sorry that's how I feel. I'd rather see someone like Petro play more since he's been impressive as of late.

So he only saw 8 minutes on the floor last night against Memphis. Is that the big look that PJ was talking about, or is he still not ready (physically) for more minutes?

Get back to us after he takes the floor for more than 7 minutes.

Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves and so far due to Swift's injuries he hasn't had the chance yet.

Try the end of the season we should all have an informed opinion then.

yeah. i dont want them to rush the guy and then watch him have another set back. there is plenty of time left this year. i think at the end of the season we should know what we need to know about him.

PJ stated on Monday that he wouldn't make this lineup change before Thursday's or Friday's game.

So it looks like Thomas just got his final game with us(there's been a report that the fans showed him quite some love last night) and PJ's fully expecting not having him around for those final 30 games.

I'm not going to reply to question in the original post since he has "Stern" in his name.
