Game Thread: Seattle Supersonics @ Portland Trailblazers

After winning against the Memphis Grizzlies, led by Earl Watson and Wally Szczerbiak, the Sonics will head south, to face Seattle natives Brandon Roy, Martell Webster and the rest of their Portland Trailblazers teammates.

The biggest question today for the Sonics is, who's going to be available.

After trading veteran big man Kurt Thomas for Fracisco Elson, Brent "Bones" Barry and a 2009 1st round pick to the San Antonio Spurs, the Sonics are said to still be active in trade talks, with nearly everyone outside of Durant, Green and Collison available, and there might be a shortage of bodies, if there's something else in the works.

When and Where?

Thursday, February 21st, 7:30 p. m. PT, Rose Garden Arena, Portland, Oregon

This game will be broadcasted by TNT

Questions:
Who, outside of Durant, Green and Collison, will be available for tonights game?
Will match their intensity, with them being desperate for a win?
Can Green give us more then his usual 8 points and 5 rebounds?
Can Swift fill the huge hole left by Thomas?

The great Ira won't be able to help us today, as he's probably still in Cleveland... :-?

BTW: Let's hope Durant scores about 30 every night from now on, cause if he doesn't, we probably won't win a game for the rest of the season...

That is quite the trade that just went down. While the Sonics will be missing quantity for tonight, the Blazers are missing quality. Word is that Roy will sit out tonight due to a chest virus.

Your forgetting the rebirth of Mr. Swift. We'll be OK.

This one is on live here so I have heaps to do so I can sit down this afternoon and watch the game, I better stop hitting refresh on trade deadline stuff and get my butt into gear!

gelabale should get some run tonight. this might actually be a fun game. the sonics are down 3 players, 2 of which were a big part of the rotation. that means a couple of guys need to step up. lets roll petro!

So is Durant over his flu yet, or was that just a scam to get West showcased?

It's the first time I have seen him in a long time as well. He doesn't look healthy at all, he's very slow and seems to have a slight limp. :-?

it looked like he was holding his back when he walked to the last inbound. But it was hard to tell whether he was just tucking in his jersey.

Same knee that he tore last year? I'm getting a worried feeling that Robert Swift's career will be over very soon if this kinda stuff continues...

Maybe we should sit him out the rest of this season as well to heal up some more? lol.

I was at work so I didn't see the game. However, I like everyone's stat lines except for Weezy (0-5, 2pts, 2rebs, 4fouls) and Swift's (4 minutes played?). What happened with them?

Earl is looking like he could actually be our answer at PG with nearly another trip dub. Green had a solid night with 13 & 9, which is what I had hoped he'd be averaging this season (wishful thinking, I know). Collison with another solid night (13 & 14 including 6 o rebounds). Gelly laid an egg.

that really sucks about Swift man. I like him a lot and hope he gets 100% before having to call it quits. I'm a fan of his.

and Keep the Sonics in Seattle ! ! !
