Sonics seeking point guard help?

From Today's SeattlePi.

Luke Ridnour left the game at halftime with right hamstring tightness, leaving Mickael Gelabale as the lone point guard in the second half -- and Gelabale is not a natural point. Sonics coach P.J. Carlesimo said he will discuss the possibility of signing a point guard if Ridnour or Earl Watson (flu) is out for an extended period.

The Sonics have 15 players on their active roster, meaning they would have to make a roster move to sign a new player.

Sonics game at a glance

Randy Livingston to the rescue?
Or Mateen Cleaves?

And who would we cut?
I guess Newble, as Elson is still needed after Swift's injury.

They should sign Eddie Gill. He can hit shots but he won't jack 'em up like Watson.

Bobby Jones is still out there.

He's really more of a 2, but can handle the ball pretty well and is a good defender. He's not a shooter but I don't know if that's what the Sonics really need anyway since more than half the plays are run through Durant.

Guess who I am.......

"Wouldn't signing a back up PG be counter productive to the Sonics ultimate goal of tanking?" "Rome's right around the corner"!

Hey, it's nice that I don't even have to post to give my opinion. Thanks Wiffler!

I have my doubts that they'll sign anyone. Maybe bring up Livingston when Sene comes back and they can see if they can keep that D-League magic going together.

Speaking of magic... i'm reminded of last summer when PJ compared Durant to Magic Johnson. Well here's the chance to find out. Just give KD the ball and get out of the way.

I hope that happens. Is that Offical Dick or just wishful thinking?

Tyronn Lue is expected to get waived by Sacramento today, and Seattle just got rid of Newble.

Do we have a match?
