Not much too say except that we're probably looking to fill that spot with a PG. Also, does Newble actually get signed? I'm not sure there will be much interest.

*sniff* I'm going to miss all the great times we had together.

He's a good defender, he could return to Cleveland. Or maybe some other playoff team will pick him up.

THIS WHOLE SEASON'S BEEN A WAIVE PARTY!

So we trade for guys and then we waive 'em. The "win now" teams trade away pieces to get better ones, but they can pick up the guys they traded away because the "rebuilding" teams don't care about **** .

I'll miss Delonte.

On the plus side, five years from now, when we're all throwing names out in one of those "oh yeah, they once played on the Sonics, I totally forgot!" conversations, Newble is going to be a good one. Right up there with Jerome Kersey, Steve Johnson and Pervis Ellison.

Bryon (don't call me Byron) Russell
Elden Campbell
Bill Cartwright
Avery Johnson
John Crotty

From the vault: Vinnie "the microwave" Johnson

Wow, the great Ira Newble is now gone.
How shall we ever win a game again?

BTW: Great to see Wilks back with us.

I had John Crotty Sonics card when I was in elementary school. I remember it distinctly because Crotty was very close to "crotch" and I derived great pleasure from that.

Well... Ewing on the Sonics is sort of like Franco Harris on the Seahawks. He didn't accomplish anything, but everyone is aware it happened. I'm thinking of those more in the "oh yeah, I totally forgot he was ever on the team!" category. Like Moochie Norris, John Lucas, Greg Kelser, Quintin Dailey, Greg Foster, Brad Sellers, Leon Smith, Terrence Stansbury and Art Long.

Yes, I did think about this overnight.
