I remember that too, so many things that just went wrong in that game, particularly in my memory, Collison attempts a dunk but then switches to trying a lay-up resulting in a miss, Wilkins tip dunk which didn't count because of "offensive interference", AD's 2 missed free throws in the closing minutes, the injuries to Vlad and Shard, and of course, the final play of Ginobili to Duncan

I always wondered if we could've pulled the upset and somehow won game 7

*sigh* is right

Yeah. I remember thinking, if they were healthy, that team could've made a real push for the title. We matched up better than anyone in the league with the Spurs and gave them fits (even with our 2nd best player out) and they were far and away the class of the league in 2004-05. Nate really did something magical that year. He took a ragtag bunch of interior players and made them the enforcers on a team of jumpshooters, effectively giving them the toughness/defense/rebounding of an interior-oriented team with the finesse/scoring prowess/precision of a perimeter team.

Damn Rashard and that toe.

that was a bull game Lewis was kicked in the balls (earlier in the series) or something and couldn't play and Allen had an injured ankle and was still killing them.
