Simmons is a guy that we could potentially rally behind and get more exposure.

Remember when Ken Griffey Jr saved baseball in Seattle? And how the Seahawks were saved at the 11th hour by Paul Allen?

Wouldnt that be crazy to tell our grandkids that the Sonics were saved by a fanatical sportswriter who wasn't even from here?

Basically Simmons said that he doesn't like the trend of pro sports, about how you can hold cities hostage. Says the sonics should stay in seattle, mentioning the fan support and the championship.

Says will try to talk to David Stern, to press him on the issue about relocation.

Also talked about different ways the fans can get attention (talked about his earlier article about the walk-out), other ideas.
