Bill Walker is also moving up, he'd be a great addition at SG/SF. A possible starter with Durant at SF and Rose or Mayo at PG. Too bad he won't be there when we're on the clock with our second 1st rounder.

I really don't want Walker on this team. He's a total defensive liability and only gives effort when he's involved and producing offensively. Not a fan of his on-court body language at all.

Speaking of WSU players moving up, I hear people are starting to talk about Cowgill as a late 1st-rounder and possible lotto pick. How awesome would it be if the Supes traded their #1 to move down a few and pick up Weaver, then got Cowgill with the Phoenix pick, and finally with their 1st 2nd-rounder snatched up Low!? If you consider that a defense headed by these 3 players could shut down studs from Winthrop along with a future backup PF like Harangody, just imagine what they could add to the Sonics! Go Cougs!

That be great if the Sonics moved to Oklahoma City and Division I.

Haha. Cowgill won't get a look in the first round, you must have read that on one of the papers over at WSU.

If our goal is to win a championship then I am not even sure that would be great if we were a Division I team. I would love that for OKC though.

FYI...NBAdraft.net has us taking Weaver at 25 with the Suns pick.

Well Draftexpress.com has Weaver in the Second round. So I guess it will depend.

Also what Ero players enter will affect things as well. I am more worried about what player we take with our first pick.

nbadraft.net just updated their mock
Weaver moved up a spot to 24 and so did Low up to 52

Now everyone knows I am as big of Coug fan here as anyone but Cowgill as a late first is crazy. McG, I have no idea where you heard that but that is just insane. If Cowgill was to get drafted I would be extremely surprised.

If we do end up with a top 5 pick(which seems really likely) then i'd be pretty upset if we don't end up with one out of Rose, Beasley, Mayo or Bayless.

So please Sam, no bigs like Lopez or Jordan with that pick.

It seems silly to move Weaver up based on what he's done in the NCAA tourney so far. The guy's been around long enough that he's a known commodity at this point, and tacking on a victory against ND and Winthrop to a four career shouldn't have that great an impact.

Mayo, blayless, UCLA, .... track record

I'm sorry for the confusion but I was making an attempt at being overly sarcastic. The thing that surprises me most is that it seems like people think trading our #1 down to draft Weaver isn't that outlandish of an idea. But yeah, if the worst does happen and the Supes move I would LOVE this draft strategy...

No he wouldn't, because he still has his liabilities. Weaver reminds me Mardy Collins which means I can't get too excited about him.
