Not really, Vancouver failed at running an NBA franchise. Seattle has been doing it good for over 40 years. Seattle Supersonics and the Vancouver Grizzlies should not be put in the same sentence.

ummmm.... no

Vancouver consistently had some of the best attendence for bottom dwelling teams. They actually weren't losing money and their owner decided to move the team to Memphis where suddenly the team has half the support they had in vancouver.

So ya I think they are quite similar, in the fact that the owner is cheating the city out of a team. A better comparison may be the Baltimore Colts back way back when.

Yeah, I thought Vancouver had pretty good fan support too, but the NBA just didn't give a ****.

i know how it feels, i remember michael heisley lying with a straight face how he planned on keeping the franchise in vancouver, courtside smiling laughing everything is all good, paying good money for crappy basketball and then boom.

Yeah.
But look at it this way, he's deserving all the troubles he's having in Memphis now(which are huge), because of the way he's handled that situation.

Also, that re-location just shows you how how big of a mistake the league would do, if they'd send the Sonics into the dustbowl, cause it'd be very shortsighted and not good for the league.
