It's at times like this that I really wonder if Sam Presti is quite the genius everyone makes him out to be. He made one great move by realizing Rashard Lewis wasn't worth the money he could get on the market and scoring draft picks out of his Bird rights. But between hiring (and retaining) P.J., the questionable Jeff Green pick at #5 (sorry, it is questionable) and trading Carl Landry's rights for nothing, I'm not sure this guy is so sharp.

PJ though is the perfect stooge for a sandbagging organization. He's awful & already under contract. Why would Bennett provide the good citizens of Seattle with higher quality basketball if it'll cost him more money?
I am going to be so happy when Schultz wins his case against that lying sack of **** Bennett.

Ugh.
But like Benjamin said, this was to be expected. There was no way Bennett was going to get rid of PJ if he has to go through two more lame duck seasons. Lame duck team, lame duck coach.
I feel so disconnected from this franchise at this point. Of course I will stick through it, it's just getting really hard dealing with Clay's decisions (or lackthereof).

Yes. Another season of P.J. glasses.

If there was any indication that Bennett was worried about losing his court case and wanted to stick it to Seattle fans for another season, this is it.
