I am from the Twolves board and was looking to see what it would take to get your number 4 pick since Sonics are willing if the right trade came. We are willing to offer rights to miamis first and celtics first. McCants as well as jaric and Walker are also options. We also have 2 2nd round picks this year. What would it take? Keep in mind the point would be to keep our number 3 pick and gain your number 4.

You don't have the pieces. If you want #4, Foye or Jefferson come to mind, and I'm pretty sure you don't want to part with those.

So in other words, you want our number 4 pick, but dont want to give up anything of significance for it......nah, ill pass.

There is no way you get #4 unless you are trading down one spot. I could see the Sonics throwing in a second rounder to move up, but why would they. They are in a good spot and will have their choice of several guys that fit their needs.

How about straight up for your #1 next year? That's the kinda move I could see the Sonics pulling off as they try to cut payroll for the upcoming season.

What do you think about Calderon from the Raptors for the pick

The 2009 Miami first is top 10 protected. The 2009 Boston first is top 3 protected. Boston isn't going to lose that many games next year. Neither of these draft picks are as good as what we would give up at #4 so you would need to include both picks. Next years draft is not as deep as this year so I don't think the deal makes much sense for the Sonics.

I'd love to try to work something out for the blazers getting the pick, but realistically you probably could get better value from another team. I was going to say something like the 13th and Travis outlaw, Pryzbilla...but I don't think you guys need another pick as much as you need a star vet.

Still curious how the center position will be consolidated. Any chance one of your young centers will make it?

...which basically means it won't happen shame because I'd want the hometown hero back.

4th pick isn't that good, Mayo/Rose/Beasley will be gone. Bayless is a good talent but just like Durant he is not going to make an impact on the win/loss column next year. Watching him play in college and seeing his individual match-ups against Mayo, i saw that bayless is not nearly as polished and he has a long way to go. He's just not a point guard and his defensive effort stinks.

Gordon will go #6-8 but he will probably be better than Bayless, because he brings it on both ends of the floor and is way more physical. Bayless will get drafted higher though because he has more PG skills. but that's like expecting Jamal Crawford or Monta Ellis to run point fulltime, it just doesn't work, and it won't work with Bayless. PG's don't isolate then dribble through their legs and take a contested 19 foot jumpshot with a defender draped all over them like bayless.

The Clippers would be interested in a pick swap. The Clips would add in their future first from Minn, which is top 10 protected until 2012. Clips might add in something else, too. Then the Sonics could draft Eric Gordon at #7.

Every trade I see on here has nothing for us to really gain, and you guys get everything. Presti wouldn't do any of these trades.

Calderon for the #4 pick is interesting. I think it might require an exchange of 17 for #24 also but that might work.

It also seems as if the Sonics might be interested in DeAndre Jordan. He should be available at #7. All the more reason to trade down and get an extra future first.

I would want no part in Calderon. Why would be want two Luke Ridnours on our team?

Say what?? Calderon is all kinds of awesome and Ridnour is crap. I wouldn't trade the pick for Calderon because Calderon will also have to be paid big money. (Leaving aside the fact that, as we learned last year, sign-and-trades before the draft can't happen.) But I'd love to find a way to land the guy.

I guess after further review I will take a pass on Calderon. I didn't realize he is 27 years old. At that age he doesn't have any upside and in two years will start to decline. The #4 would be too much for a guy who will not be around when KD hits his prime.
