Deal the #4 pick, Wilcox, and Ridnour or Watson to Charlotte for Okafor, the #9 pick, and a 2009 1st Round pick.
Why Charlotte - A starting rotation of Felton, Richardson, Wallace, Wilcox, plus a center would be one of the most athletic and fast paced teams.
Why Seattle - Okafor can be the strong interior force we are missing.
#9 - Russell Westbrook
#24 - Kyle Weaver
#32 - Joey Dorsey
#46 - Richard Hendrix
#50 - Shan Foster
Westbrook and Weaver would greatly improve our defense at the guard positions.
1) That Charlotte deal wouldn't be possible, because free agency starts at the beginning of July, while the draft is in June.
So the only thing we could do, if we'd go for Okafor, is to do a sign and trade that includes a guy like Wilcox and future picks(starting next year) and see if they're interested or not.
Though, with Larry Brown around, i really doubt that Okafor will be available.
2) There will be better guys available at #24 and #32 then Kyle Weaver(mid 2nd rounder) and Joey Dorsey(mid 2nd rounder as well).

- E Okafor. Yep. That's would do it. RFA, & the Bobcats are notoriously cheap.
- A Biedrins would be another. Also a restricted free agent. Warriors love him.
- K Love would be great in the middle. Bet Memphis takes him #5 pick.
Any other centers that would work for Seattle?
1) What tells you that the Bobcats are cheap?
They came into the league 4 years ago and had a limited salary cap, like every other expansion franchise as well.
Last summer was the first they had the full salary to work with and they added the huge contract of Jason Richardson. They also extended Gerald Wallace for 6 years and nearly $57 mil.
The only reason Okafor hasn't been extended was because of the demands he made, which weren't close to what he's producing on the court.
Though, i still expect them to re-sign him to something like 10 - 12 mil a year over the next 3 - 6 years.
2) Biedrins would be really nice on our team, but it all depends on what happens with the Warriors. If Davis goes, then he and Ellis surely will be re-signed. If Davis stays, then i've got my doubts that they'll be able to re-sign both of these guys. With us being about 5 - 7 mil under the cap(our rookies will add about 5 mil to our salary), i don't think it would be a problem for them to match for Biedrins. That's why the only way we could get him would be to do a sign and trade, which would be hard to do, as i doubt that the Warriors like what we would offer them.
3) Kevin Love, no thanks. But we've been through this before...

What can you come up with? Better yet, what could Presti do?
We won't have any of this years picks to work with, as free agency starts after the draft and you can't really use them in those trades.
Those other parts are nice, but i doubt that the Bobcats or Warriors would like them enough to part ways with either Okafor or Biedrins.
That's why i still think that a rookie like Robin Lopez(yeah, i know you like him

) would probably be the best way to go for us right now.
