OT Ray Allen

Post#1 » by wiff » Thu May 29, 2008 1:59 am

So to be honest I haven't watched much of the playoffs. However I have heard that Ray has been struggling miserably.

Yet he has hit two three's tonight in game 5.

Anyway we all have watched Ray Allen for years, so what's your take on his horrible shooting? And it's been baaaad..

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do I have a feeling that as soon as this season is over Ray Allen is going to have a surgery on one of his ankles, if not both.

I have this hunch that he is trying to play through foot pain. That's why his shot is off because he isn't getting the same kind of lift he does when he is healthy. Ray played in 73 regular season games and 18 playoff games.

91 games is a heck of a lot of game for an older guy with chronic ankle problems.

This was the risk they were taking all along by building around three stars on the wrong side of 30, especially with the minutes Doc Rivers dished out. Remember how they got off to a blistering start to the regular season, but a few people cautioned that they should pace themselves. Well, here we are. It sounds strangely apropos to say this is their Achilles' heel.

He looked like the hall-of-famer he is tonight, great game from a great player.

Yeah, I've watched all of the Celtic games and it always seems that Ray lights up the other team when he's had a couple of days off. There was an interview earlier in the year where he admitted that to start the season his ankles weren't as good as he was telling everyone. Hopefully the rest before the Finals will pay off for him. In the 1st two atlanta games, he tied some record for 3P% in 2 consecutive playoff games and then he started to struggle..

Should be interesting watching him vs. Kobe....Yes, I have been keeping up to date with the Celtics, as I'm definately rooting for Ray to win a ring.
