10 and 21 for 4?

Could get a pure point like DJ Augustin at 10 and a back-to the basket C like Hibbert w 21.
Is Bayless or Lopez that much better?
Wonder if Jeff Green liked playing with Hibbert?

How about Sean Williams + #10 for #4.

Yes and yes.
DJ is too short and avoids contact similar to Ridnour. No thanks.

I'd do that in a second.

We've already got 6 picks in this years draft, so more quantity isn't needed.
Also, Augustin would be yet another short pg that would have trouble defending anyone in this league, because he'll get pushed around quite a bit and we've had enough of this since the Payton era ended.
Roy Hibbert is also not the kind of center i see us looking for and if he'd be available at #21, and we'd really like him, then we should be able to trade for that pick with all those other picks we've got.
BTW: Even Sean Williams wouldn't be enough for me to trade down from #4 to #10. Though, if we could get our hands on Devin Harris...

Devin Harris would require the 4th pick and they wouldn't give us anything else.

Quality over Quantity people.

Quality over Quantity. I totally agree. We need to avoid the situation Portland is in. Suddenly they find themselves over the cap with no star PG and alot of young guys that are going to want a raise.

I could see the Sonics trading #24 & #32 to the Warriors for #14 or the Raptors for #17.
I could see any number of combinations of trading the #32 & #43 for a late first, and then trading that late first & #24 for a mid first.
I could even see the Sonics trading the #4 & #24 to the Heat for #2 (essentially D Rose for OJ Mayo & either R Lopez, R Hibbert, J Thompson or A Ajinca).
But trading the #4 for #10 & #21 is a horrible trade idea. As is letting a guy like Sean Williams on your team, as talented as he may be.

We still have 4 more first round picks coming up in the next two years. We don't have to get it done all in one year.

I agree that this is a horrible idea. I'll take my chances with the superstar potential of Bayless/Mayo than whoever I may get at #10 and Sean Williams.
I think it's important to watch out for the "PG effect". A lot of bigs have their value over inflated because they play(ed) with great PGs. Case in point, Kenyon Martin, Brian Scalabrine, and pretty much any big that has played with Jason Kidd.

If you look at his stats, his numbers declined significantly when Kidd was gone. Although it could be argued that is also due to his decrease in minutes. Either way I think his stats hardly suggest he is worth a #4 overall pick even when included with #10. Also I'd be hesitant to trade for him with potential off the court issues. He is a high risk/reward guy to me and if I wanted high risk/reward I might as well draft Jordan and not worry about the potential character issues.

Assuming Chicago takes M Beasley & Miami prefers OJ Mayo... what would be Riley's realistic goal when trying to leverage other teams' preference for D Rose?
Looking at Miami's roster with OJ Mayo it'd be...
Starters - OJ Mayo, D Wade, S Marion, U Haslem, M Blount
Rotation - M Banks, D Wright, D Cook, (A Mourning - ya think?)
They need another decent big in the worst way if they want to be legit contenders in the East. But they're hooped for cap space so there's no real chance for a decent big via free agency. This is why I'm thinking the beady eyed devil, I mean Riley, is trying so hard to leverage that OJ Mayo pick. He may seriously prefer OJ Mayo, but he also really needs another big.
Looking at the roster of the #3 team in the draft, Minnesota, I'm not seeing a bunch of legit bigs other than A Jefferson. In fact I see none. Which is why I'm convinced the Wolves are drafting either K Love or B Lopez. Plus I also think K Love is going to be really good. Especially playing next to A Jefferson. Anyway, the Wolves next pick is #31. And #34. Not exactly what predator Pat is looking for.
Which brings Riley's attention to the Sonics next at #4. And their infant GM Sam Presti. Kind of a Khrushchev versus Kennedy matchup. Anyway, the Sonics would love to get D Rose. And the Sonics have J Petro ($1.9M) & the #24 pick. Hmmm... tasty.
And now we're to conspiracy theory 43...
Heat trade D Rose to Sonics for OJ Mayo, J Petro & #24 pick (R Lopez, R Hibbert, etc).

Why would the heat trade Rose? That's my only question.

I also think it would be unlikely they trade Rose as is Rose dropping to #2.

Just mocking seeing where trades might be made and holes filled which is why I thought abt Seattle (and NJ), rebuilding and all.... did not look at the picks past 34/35, holy cow they have a whole team of 2nds so you are all right.
Plus your big PG is right there Kyle Weaver is a stud, move up into the late first and snatch him. Of course I'm not a Bayless guy, feel he's the biggest bust in the top7.

What if Mayo isn't there and Presti doesn't like Bayless because he isn't a pure point guard?
Tell me this who would you rather have with the #4 pick Brook Lopez or Sean Williams.
Diop took over his minutes that's why his number went down.
I see Sean Williams as a young Tyson Chandler.
I went to the Nets game this year and not only did I see Jeff Green give Vinsanity a Peter North like facial with a dunk. Sean Williams got limited minutes and destroyed our front line. Destroyed it!
I also see him in a mold like Beidrins from GS.
Young, can run, has serious hops, rebounds, blocks shots and gets easy put backs.
So then the Sonics have the #10 pick coming back too. You could take the #10 and the #24 and possibly move up to the #6 with New York.
But if Presti isn't sold on Bayless and Mayo is already off the board I'd take Sean Williams in a second over Brook Lopez.

I'm a D Rose fan. I pick D Rose #1 in this draft if I'm the Sonics.
But I'm hearing Riley likes OJ Mayo... 3pt shooting, defense, leadership, work ethic, the pairing with D Wade, the whole package. Ok fine. I can see that. I think it's a legit concept.

I think any trade is unlikely. But the Heat moving down to leverage their preference for OJ Mayo is legit.
And in my opinion it's better than 50%, more like 75%, that the Bulls take M Beasley. Aguably the most talented. Big over little. Huge team need. Their recent coaching decision will factor into the decision.

No chance Presti touches Williams. Sure he is an absolute specimen but what happens when he goes Birdman V 2.0 and is banned from the league for two years? This is going to be a character team and Williams doesn't come close to fitting the description.
